When I said the last week or two of the academic term was going to be chaos, I wasn’t wrong! Little did I realise that E’s impromptu dance show would result in me turning into Arni Schwarzenegger from Jingle All The Way as I’ve spent the past week spending ridiculous amounts of money in a desperate attempt to acquire a metallic pink leotard for my darling little dancer following a last-minute show arragenement.
Said leotard was neither in stock nor available in the correct size from any of the many retailers that I contacted thus, with less than two days to go before the big show, I found myself practically begging a stranger over the phone to rush to the Post Office to send me their very last leotard via special delivery (which I paid through the nose for) which arrived a day later only for me to discover that it was the wrong flipping fabric!
Talk about stressed, I thought my mind may implode – How on earth was I going to explain to my eight-year-old that she may not be dancing because Mummy, despite having spent over £100 by this point on four different leotards, two of which were yet to be refunded, was unable to acquire the correct kit? I detest doing anything last-minute, I’m an organised lady and cannot cope with the worry of things not arriving in time. Thankfully, I bit my lip and worked my magic and low and behold, E’s sparkly, metallic pink leotard arrived earlier today just in time for dance practice. Phew!
Next on the agenda is finalising E’s makeup and hair ready for the big show on Wednesday – Here’s hoping the temperatures drop a little as it was sweltering tonight in that dance hall!
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

She looks so beautiful! I hope the show went well x
Oh dear, it sounds like you had a nightmare – glad to hear you got hold of the right leotard in the end though, and she looks fab!
