Today marks the beginning of the end – by which I’m referring to the final week of the summer term and with a little luck the final five days of homeschool for the children.Â
Don’t get me wrong, I plan to continue educating my kids throughout the summer holidays but there’s no way that I’ll be drawing up daily and weekly work schedules (as I have been) and keeping the kids to such a tight routine. Sure, we will do daily maths and literacy of some sort but there will be no planning NOR PRINTING for that matter as my god, I’ve spent an absolute FORTUNE in printer ink since March!
I can barely believe that my beautiful little lady will no longer be an infant and my handsome young man will no longer be a junior! It is quite literally the end of term and the end of an era – where did my babies go?! How have these kids of mine grown so fast?! Where is time slipping off to? I just wish that time would slow down a little…
My Almost Junior
My Almost Senior
Literally every aspect of my little family’s life is changing and whilst some of those changes are positive, others are truly heartbreaking and it’s going to take a long time to adjust to.
To mark the final week and the end of the summer term I’m hoping to host a family BBQ come the weekend and according to the weatherman it’s ‘gonna be a scorcher’. Bring on the sunshine, pump up the paddling pool and let’s crack open a cold one!
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Aww! It really is the end of an era for your family. They grow up so fast. I hope all goes well at junior and secondary school. x
