I can’t even count how many weeks we’ve spent living in lockdown at this point in time. When the lockdown malarkey was first suggested and brought into action, I worried for the children that time would drag, yet in reality, it’s entirely the opposite.
I’m not sure about you but I’m never quite sure as to what day of the week we are on nevermind what the date happens to be, I’m doing quite well with keeping track of the months though and even those seem to fly by in the blink of an eye.
With less than a fortnight to go before the children officially finish ‘school’ (or should I say home school) for the summer holidays, it’s suddenly hit me just how much time has gone by since things were ‘normal’.
Will we ever live a ‘normal life’ again? I’m not sure but right now I’m quite happy with my ‘normal’ as it means I get to spend almost every minute of my day with these beautiful, brilliant children of mine – what more could I possibly wish for?!
Both J & E have been kept to a strict schedule of homeschooling for the past however long and they have been working their socks off – I truly cannot fault their efforts.
Having taken a trip to J’s senior school of choice today, I can say with absolute confidence that he will be a very happy chappy come September, though I’m not entirely sure as to how ‘normal’ will work out… As for E, she’s looking forward to meeting her new teacher and seeing her friends but once again – how ‘normal’ things will be is yet to be seen…
I guess we are all in for a ‘new normal’…
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Ours have had a pretty religious routine for schooling too – I’m so pleased that their education hasn’t been disrupted too much x
Routine rules families xxx
I too think the new normal has it’s benefits. I’ve quite enjoyed the slower pace and less pressure.
