Whilst I was busy enjoying a beach ride, my children were just around the corner at the next beach taking a stroll with our rather beautiful basset hounds.
Much like myself, Molly and Maisy are rather partial to a plod along the shore. Both J & E love to take their leads and to show off our hounds by walking them here, there and everywhere. They may be rather smelly and incredibly noisy dogs but we love them despite their drooling, their barmy barking, Maisy’s love for shoes and their total ignorance towards our personal space.

The kids love going for a wander on the shore, we have mounds of seashells and pebbles that the kids have collected and carefully placed in the borders of our garden, I’ve yet to make it back from the beach without a souvenir which requires painting or sticking to something.
Whilst on the shore the children usually end up having a kick around with a ball, scaling the sand dunes or playing on the park and more often than not we’ll hand them some pennies for ice creams or treats on the way home.
Scaling The Sand Dunes
We are so lucky to have the beach on our backdoor step, it’s my first port of call to blow the cob webs away following a busy day and for the kids and the dogs it’s the perfect place to get some fresh air whilst letting lose and burning off some energy.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Aww, your dogs look adorable! We live really near the beach too but I have to confess I’m not a fan, and we hardly ever go there! #LivingArrows
Awwww
I am so envious of you being so close to that beach – it looks beautiful! x
I would love to live near the beach – especially in this weather! #LivingArrows
