Welcome to this weeks edition of #LivingArrows, a weekly post in which I share a couple of snaps of my beautiful children. I call them beautiful children but I will wholly admit that there are moments when I find it rather difficult to call them anything of the sort considering the behaviour that they chose to display from time to time.
Kids will be kids but bleeding hell are they challenging little sods! I swear to god as J gets older he finds more and more buttons to press which will either result in an explosion of anger, upset or sheer frustration from either his sister or us, his parents. I am fairly sure that he presses said buttons for personal kicks, either that or a kick in the nads from his sister. Either way, I will openly admit that I am finding this parenting lark rather stressful at present.
I’ve never really been a massive fan of alcohol, that was until I had children and realised that the odd glass or two or more of wine would become essential to have any chance in making it to the end of the day without losing the plot.
Anyhow, getting back onto a positive theme, after all the whole idea of this post is to celebrate my little brats ones not to digitally diss them.
Swinging Success
E has finally taken the plunge and swapped her toddler swing seat for a child’s swing seat. She’s a big girl now as she keeps reminding us and since her sudden swing upgrade E seems to have mastered the art of swinging no it’s not that kind of post before you go there. As a result of said swinging success she now spends the majority of her time outdoors practicing kicking and tucking her legs under herself to rock back and forth.
Little Chef Concocting Sweet Snacks
One of J’s many homework tasks was to cook or bake a meal for the family. We opted for baking as it seemed a far easier and more enjoyable task, what kid in their right mind would enjoy prepping and cooking an actual edible meal for their family?!
J decided to put together a batch of Melting Moments which I then recorded, edited and put together as a ‘Baking Show’ for his class to enjoy. Chef J seemed to revel in being in the limelight, unlike his Mother he’s a natural on camera and the video was really easy to put together. Here’s a shot of my little Chef hard at work in the kitchen.
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I think kids are born knowing what buttons to press ! E is looking very grown up on her swing. It sounds like J had lots of fun, what a great idea to film it too.
Oh he looks so grown up and it’s so nice that he’s confident enough to be on camera. I remember A and T coming out of their toddler seats and it seemed like such a huge milestone! x
