Summer has finally arrived – the bees are buzzing, the smell of freshly cut grass is in the air, my eyes are regularly streaming from the high pollen count, and flies seem to be invading our kitchen at every opportunity… oh the joys! Whilst the majority of the UK spent the weekend baking in a summer heatwave, us Northerners were just grateful for a few hours of sunshine before the inevitable clouds returned…
Poor Paul has spent the last week recovering from Covid 19 thus it felt great to get out and enjoy our freedom on Saturday thus we took a celebratory stroll with the dogs through the local show field followed by burgers, beers, and treats from the local bakery.
Though we don’t have a huge amount planned for the summer, J & E are now counting down till the holidays and I don’t blame them – it’s been a busy year for us all but the kids have excelled as always and I couldn’t be prouder of their progress.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

I think we’re all on the countdown to summer now – just hoping we get some sunshine once the kids are off school!
