Welcome to this weeks edition of #LivingArrows, a weekly post in which I share a snap or two of my little ones.
As you may have seen last week I shared a few pictures of my happy hopper J bouncing around the garden. Following countless arguments and ‘waiting for turns’ I finally caved and bought yet another hopper enabling the children to bounce alongside each other or in other words race.
This isn’t a particularly fantastic shot due to the terrible lighting and lack of eye contact from the kids, never the less it’s an honest picture of parenting. Two children side by side, one may first think ‘united’ but that will never be the case with siblings as it will always end up as a competition, whether that be a race, a tug of war, a battle of wills or a full on argument.
Don’t get me wrong, my kids get along really well but at least twice every hour I find myself muttering one of the following five phrases:
- “Will you two stop arguing!”
- “Why can’t you just get along?”
- “Stop winding her up.”
- “Stop winding him up.”
- “Right that’s enough the pair of you.”
I’m absolutely certain well 99% sure at least that I’m far from alone in the endless refereeing of sibling battles. J may be just over twice his sisters age at present but he doesn’t seem to care less when it comes to playing fair. The pair of them are as bad as each other with sharing, thankfully though there are no longer ‘hopper huffs’ over whose turn it is next to bounce around the back.
Hopping Mad
Thanks again for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Ah they look so happy there together even if it isn’t completely stress free and idyllic! x
