Half term came to a close last night after what was a wonderful but incredibly busy week of sunshine, DIY chaos, and a fair amount of family fun. The kids have now returned to school as our regular routine has resumed, though I’m pretty sure that the next six weeks will no doubt fly by and before it’ll be the summer holidays before we know it.
Having finally completed our garden with the addition of a summerhouse, the kids have enjoyed days out spent bouncing on the trampoline, soaking in the hot tub, playing on their swingset, painting in the summerhouse, or simply reading books whilst sat in the glorious sunshine. Though it was a somewhat hectic half term (with builders, plumbers, and glaziers in and outside of our house) we were blessed with the most wonderful weather.

We’ve also enjoyed numerous family strolls and dog walks, where we’ve fed the ducks, climbed trees, made daisy chains and just enjoyed our surroundings and the summer weather.

I don’t usually count down to the summer holidays but I can’t help but to this year, as I cannot wait to have our new kitchen installed, and to enjoy family time (without the restraints of routine) in our beautiful garden.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with yourΒ #LivingArrowsΒ either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I think everyone is looking forward to the summer holidays this year, we’ve spent a lot of time with our kids in a pandemic/homeschool setting. It’s going to be so nice to enjoy 6 weeks of activities, days out and play dates!

I think were all looking forward to the Summer holidays as these months of routine will be / have been a bit tiring! Is that a flower fairy book I spy? I used to love mine as a child.
