The kids seem to have had a sudden growth spurt; we’ve replaced both sets of school shoes this weekend and I am now in the process of replacing yet more clothes. It’s heartbreaking how quickly children grow up, one moment you are nursing your new-born and the next thing you know – your kids share your shoe size and you begin mistaking their clothing for your own whilst sorting the laundry.
It’s madness, come next year we will have a ten-year-old and a six-year-old! Where on earth has that time gone to? Thank god for all the pictures which we’ve taken and the videos that we have recorded as otherwise I’d find it hard to keep track of time.
I took E along to her friends party at the weekend; whilst there she spent time bouncing around, scoffing snacks and most importantly – she met Rapunzel. Our little Princess is a complete and utter Disney diva and understandably was thrilled to meet the ‘real Rapunzel’.
The Real Rapunzel
J tends to spend the majority of his time these days wedged between the covers of a book. We have however managed to make the best of the weather by getting out and about with friends for a BBQ.
It was during said BBQ that J took a liking for our friends pond: a six-foot deep pool which sent my stress levels beyond batty. Thankfully, neither of the children took a dip although I spent the entire evening worrying myself silly that we’d have to fish one of them out before the end of the night.
The Prince & The Pond
The kids may be growing up fast but no matter what their age or their size, they are sure to keep me on my toes.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
