Our darling daughter went on her first-ever school residential trip this week, spending three fun-filled days in the beautiful city of York with her class friends. Whilst she’s stayed overnight with our parents in the past, this was the first time that she’s been away without her family. Needless to say, I was beside myself with worry over our little lady being away from us, though once the school started sending us happy, smiling snapshots I felt a lot more at ease.
E had great fun and time must have flown as she explained that it felt like less than a day that she’d been away. E had spent time visiting various Yorkshire based attractions including York Minster, Eden Camp, Jorvik, The Shambles, The Chocolate Story, The National Railway Museum, and the Forbidden Corner, which according to E was the highlight of the trip.
It may have only been three days but we sure missed our little ray of sunshine and I cannot tell you how relieved I was to finally collect her on Friday evening.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.
