Touch wood, homeschooling seems to be going really well of late! The kids have been working really hard, so well in fact that our little lady has been awarded with the Lighthouse Award!
This meant that we had to create some sort of lighthouse for E to hold for photographic purposes. Having worked our socks off all week long, I decided that rather than crafting a lighthouse from Lego, loo rolls or whatever else, I’d save us all the effort and instead, take a sneaky snapshot whilst down the beach.
I’m so proud of our little Princess, she is finding it really tough at the moment as she misses her family and friends and despite being at home with her brother, it’s just not the same… We’ve had tears and the odd tantrum but she understands why we are in lockdown and does her best to get by.

J has also been working at a supersonic speed, he’s been busy researching renewable energy sources and having put together a list of facts upon hydro energy, he then created a rather snazzy PowerPoint to put forward his ideas. I’m so impressed with how hard he is working – he’s not once complained though I’m sure he’s just as fed up as we all are with the ‘staying at home’ situation.
Excited About Energy
I think keeping busy and sticking to a regular routine really helps the kids, it certainly helps me as I’m not sure what we’d do with the days otherwise.
Both J & E will no doubt remember this lockdown for the rest of their lives, it’s not exactly World War III, but it is a sort of war – only against a virus, which in terms of being isolated from family and friends is in a way quite similar to living through a war, especially for children.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrowseither through your own posts or comments upon this post.
