I’ve said this time and time again but I’ll say it once more – I couldn’t be a prouder parent. My kids may drive me up the wall and round the bend at times but I love them more than life itself. Not only do I vacuum and mop the floor upon which they walk, I worship the ground upon which they wander.
J is heading towards turning two-digits in age, I cannot believe that ten years have passed since I was the size of a house, desperate to meet my little man. The years have flown by – J is no longer little, he is now a rather tall and handsome young chap. He’s not yet ten but he’s already able to share shoes with me and it won’t be long before he’s towering above me in height.
J is an incredibly talented young man; he is forever drawing and has spent the past year or two committed to creating his own comics. He has a natural flair for the arts and has recently added to this by making a start with music. For his birthday this year, J has asked for an electronic drum kit and a fortnight ago he began attending drum lessons.
Little Drummer Boy
Already he has practiced playing along to Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ and he is beginning to get to grips with the concept of multi-tasking by playing different rhythms with his hands and feet. Having tried this myself I can tell you, it isn’t easy! I’m sure with time and practice J will master the art of the drums, so long as he’s happy and having fun then that’s all that matters.
E is another arty-angel, she loves drawing, colouring, painting and anything crafty or creative. Much like her brother, she also seems to have a natural talent for art. As you may have read, for the past month or so, E has been learning how to swim. It seems that we have a water baby as our little lady is a pro in the pool. She too is growing up far too fast, it feels like only yesterday that I was pushing E around in a pram and clock watching as she napped during the afternoons, sadly those days are no longer.
Our little lady gets more beautiful by the day, just her smile is enough to make me melt. E may be a ‘Mardy Little Mim’ at times but she is such a determined little diva, she knows her own mind and when she’s got it set on something, she’s sure to get it. I couldn’t be prouder of our Princess, she’s such a gorgeous little girl although such hard work at times…
Beauty On The Beach
We are so lucky to have such wonderful kids; they may send us grey, empty our wallets, drive us to distraction and to despair, but they are my World and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Lots to be proud of Rachel, kids are just the best aren’t they. Equal amounts of joy and frustration but we wouldn’t have it any other way would we x
Exactly !
I totally understand your sentiments #LivingArrows
Thanks x
It sounds like they both have such great, varied interests. It’s always lovely to hear more about them x
Thanks Donna x
