So here we are on a beautiful bank holiday Monday at the end of our holidays. It’s back to the regular school/ work routine this week and though I’m not too keen on the idea of the early get-ups, it’ll do us all good to gain some structure.
We’ve most certainly had a busy couple of weeks, what with decorating the living room and landing whilst keeping the kids entertained. The weather wasn’t all the best but we managed to seize the sunny days and make the most of the good weather by enjoying strolls on the shore, dog walks through the fields, and time together at the local safari zoo.
Though we had hoped to take the kids to Blackpool Pleasure Beach during the holidays, the weather just wasn’t on our side thus we have put that on the back burner till next month when our son makes the drastic transformation from twelve to a teenager.
The kids did however spend yesterday hunting for Easter eggs both in and outside of the house and the Easter bunny was more than generous as they were spoilt rotten with chocolate galore. They’ve had fun and a good break at least. Here’s hoping the alarm clock ringing tomorrow morning isn’t too much of a rude awakening and that we have a smooth return to routine.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

I’m the same as you- glad to be back to routine but not looking forward to the early starts and rushing around!

It sounds like you had a lovely holiday, I’m with you though – we could have done without having to get back to early alarms this week!
I hope back to school hasn’t been too bad for you – it was definitely a shock to the system for us! x
Ha – it was an early wake
I hope you had a smooth start to the term? X
