So there we have it, the holidays are officially over and the kids are both back at school, leaving me sitting in an eerily silent and stress-free house. It’s only 10 am and already I’ve managed to make the beds, wash the pots, empty the dishwasher, do two loads of laundry, tidy downstairs, complete this weeks lesson plans for work, sort through and reply to my emails, and I’ve even tidied and arranged the car boot!
Having spent the first few months of this year living in lockdown and homeschooling, it feels a bit strange not having the kids here at home with me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure I’ll enjoy the peace and quiet but it’s a little alien to me at present.
Our Little Lady Lazing On A Log
Mellow Yellow
We enjoyed a final weekend of strolls out and about in the sunshine, we spent time with my Mum and my in-laws which was lovely as it’s been far too long since we’ve been able to sit down and enjoy a coffee and catch up – life sort of felt almost normal for a moment…
That was until late last night when the drama erupted as the pipe from our bathroom tap suddenly exploded, pouring water through both our bathroom and our kitchen, soaking the sockets and blowing the fuses thus we were without power and without water right when we needed it the most – typical!
Nothing ever seems to go smoothly, we seem to battle one drama after the other – I really wish that life would just give us a break! Never mind, at least we have some wonderful memories to look back upon and hopefully, the good weather will continue so that we can enjoy another weekend frolicking through the fields whilst soaking up the sunshine.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Oh no! Exploding pipes are the worst. Hopefully you managed to get it sorted quickly. Glad you managed to get some time for a cuppa and a catch up. Your boy looks so grown up in that picture.

I always find it so strange when the kids go back to school – especially now after so much time with them. I hope they both enjoyed being back x

Oh no! What a nightmare, I hope you have managed to get it fixed? Lovely to meet up with the grandparents, we have done the same and it does almost feel normal doesn’t it? Super impressed with your productivity.
