The kids are doing so well considering the current lockdown malarkey – we’ve really got into the swing of homeschooling and between the four of us, we’ve established a pretty rocking routine!
Paul and Joe WicksΒ start the day with PE followed by Newsround and a short break. I then continue with spellings, handwriting, literacy, reading, grammar, writing, arithmetic, and mathematics before lunch.
Getting To Grips With Grammar
After lunch, the children enjoy some outdoor time before conducting a daily ‘colour hunt’. We then work upon their projects whether that be science, geography, history, art, music, Lego challenges or whatever floats our boat prior to a daily dog walk.
All completed work is photographed, marked, hole punched, and placed into a folder as evidence. Each day I try to take photos of the activities which we carry out which I then send to the children’s teachers via an app.Β
The kids are then given time out on their tech before tea time and once that’s all done and dusted they can do just about whatever they please – within the confines of our house/ garden obviously.
Happy Hama Beading
We’ve ordered a few extra activities and toys for the kids to play with during the lockdown, E has really taken to her new Hama beads and has been busy making lots of treats for her family and friends whereas J has busied himself with animation…
Whilst J & EΒ really miss their friends and family, we’ve been doing our very best to keep in touch with everyone via video conferencing, messaging and such-like. It’s not easy but it’s the best that we can do in the current climate.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with yourΒ #LivingArrowseither through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Sounds like you’re doing a fab job and settled into a routine really well π I’ve not tried hama beads with mine – are they good? We have aqua beads and they’re a bit of a pain haha! #livingarrows
They are good xxx
It sounds like you’ve got a great routine going on – I’ve been keeping anything the boys have done too, although I’ve no idea what we’re going to do with it all when they eventually go back to school π
I know thereβs so much !
