Though we’d hoped to have a few days out and about enjoying various activities with the kids throughout the Easter holidays, it just wasn’t warm nor dry enough to do so. We decided therefore to tackle decorating our living room, this was a huge project and one which we’ve been meaning to do for quite a few years now.
To cut a long story short, our entire house is decorated in a dark wood, something which has irked me since 2012 when we first moved in. My Mum and I have nattered about painting the windowsills, doorframes, skirting boards, and the bannisters white for a few years now and this week we’ve done just that!
Whilst Mum and I were busy brushing skirting boards, painting windowsills, and comparing almost fifty shades of grey paint against the wallpaper we were about to hang, E kept us entertained by serenading us with her singing. Santa certainly got it right when he brought E the karaoke microphone set last Christmas, I’m pretty sure that she will be on stage someday.
Our living room is now painted and though we’ve yet to replace the lights, the rug, the mirror, and the sofa, the transformation is incredible (I will post photos at some point). Mum and I have yet to complete painting upstairs which is a whole new ball game as every single room has dark wood skirting boards and doorframes, and every room needs a fresh lick of paint, thus it’s going to be a BIG JOB! Here’s hoping E will have her microphone charged and at the ready!
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

Oh bless her – that’s so lovely of her to sing while you were decorating. We really need to do all the doors, skirting and windows in our house too but it’s such a massive job!
Ah what a good job done! I hope your lounge is now lovely and everything else will come together in time x
I bet that kept you all entertained whilst having a productive week! X
