We are now into the first week of the Easter holidays and the children seem to be having great fun. So far we’ve played board games, carried out egg hunts, made crafts, baked and watched movies. Come tomorrow J is off to a holiday club with his friends for the day whilst E and I are off out shopping for our puppy Maisy whom all being well, we are hoping to collect on Wednesday.
It feels rather bizarre to be at home with the kids during the holidays, as I’m so used to spending most of my evenings busy pulling pints, no matter what time of the year it may be. This is the first time in two years that I have been able to be at home with the kids and to actually enjoy my holidays.
With it being Easter weekend and the hubby’s birthday, we’ve spent plenty of time with family catching up, and celebrating. Both J & E have rather enjoyed seeing their Aunties, Uncles, cousins and Grandparents all of whom they have endlessly entertained and exhausted!
Battle Of The Bots
Earlier today J took his Grandad on in a battle of the bots, this was both amusing and rather dangerous to watch due to the random flying parts which were forever whizzing in my general direction.
Double Trouble
E on the other hand has spent the majority of the day following me around. She is a Mummy’s girl through and through bless her. I will be sure to enjoy every cuddle my little Princess has to offer as I’m well aware that it wont be long before snuggling with Mummy just ain’t cool.
Having had a visit from her cousins later in the day E eventually left my side to cause carnage in her room. I’ve literally spent the past hour tidying her toys and sorting through the piles of Peppa Pig figures that covered her entire carpet.
Whilst I love my kids dearly, there are times when I could quite happily stick them in a cupboard just to avoid the never-ending amount of mess which each of them so skill-fully create.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
