My little lady loves baking and she has certainly been busy with her mixing bowl, weighing scales, and wooden spoon over the past fortnight. E has made batches of Anglo Saxon style Griddle biscuits (oat biscuits which we semi-adapted into melting moments) and she was keen to assist with the making and baking of my husband’s birthday cake.
So long as E has the correct equipment and ingredients, she’s more than happy to be left to her own devices as she mixes and makes the most delicious delights. Whether it’s biscuits, cookies, or cakes – E is crazily crafty in the kitchen for an eight-year-old.Β I meanwhile tend to hover, more for quality control than supervision, I mean who doesn’t want to lick the spoon?
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with yourΒ #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments on this post.

That’s fab – she definitely looks happy with her apron on and a spoon in her hand!
