As I said in my previous post, weekends simply aren’t long enough! It doesn’t matter how hard we try to get everything done and dusted there’s always appointments, places to be and things to do either in or out of the house.
If I were to list of all the things that we do over the weekend, I’d either bore you to tears or waste quite a few sheets of A4 paper. I am well aware that our schedule is a little squeezed over the weekend yet the kids are quite happy to muck in and to do their bit.
Having taken our little lady to her swimming lesson (which is a fifty-minute drive away), I was suddenly aware that I was driving what felt like a skip on wheels. E didn’t seem to notice nor to mind however, as she was too busy posing for pictures with her shades on.
Shady Lady
How is it that cars get so dusty, dirty and filth ridden in such a short space of time? Paul very kindly vacuumed the cars, which left me to dust and polish them. Meanwhile, J busied himself researching for and completing his latest homework project.
J seems to work with such independence these days; his handwriting and his reading has come on leaps and bounds and he is now more than able to ‘get on’, without having his ‘Homework Hitler Mother’ (that’ll be me) keeping tabs upon his progress.
Homework Hero
Speaking of progress, E’s swimming lesson went swimmingly? She too is making masses of progress in the pool – it’s amazing how much kids pick up and learn over such a brief period, I couldn’t be a prouder parent!
The weekends may seem like an endless task list to complete, yet whilst we busy ourselves with work we are also sure to have lots of fun along the way.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I hear you about cars – I literally just hoovered the inside of ours last week and wiped down all the surfaces and hoovered. It didn’t stay like that for long though! #LivingArrows

It’s so nice when homework isn’t a battle and just comes naturally. E looks so cute in her shades! x
