So here we are, at the second half of the second academic term of the year still living in lockdown. Don’t get me wrong, I personally believe it’s much better for us to be staying safe at home than risking our health (and possibly our lives) by being out and about, but my goodness me, lockdown ain’t easy!
I’m quite the organised soul and so keeping track of meetings, tasks, work set and all the things that the kids need to be getting on with whilst homeschooling is fine and dandy for me but I’m well aware that the kids find all this zooming and video/ voice malarkey quite daunting at times and who can blame them?! Their normality upped and left the building over a year ago now and though I suspect that things are about to get ‘back on track’ I’m not entirely convinced as to whether the World is ready.
I’m well aware of how much the kids have missed their family and friends but I still feel incredibly cautious about the pandemic at present. Thank goodness for the joys of technology, even E has embraced communicating via email and has been practicing (alongside her Nana B) sending short messages on her iPad.
Now that half term is done and dusted, I’m aware that the kids will be heading back to their daily duties within a fortnight or so. I’m rather keen therefore to get the kids back to being preened and pretty but I unfortunatly lack the hairdressing skills required, thus my husband has very kindly buzzcut the boy which I must admit looks pretty good, meanwhile I’m on mission ‘shoes and skirts’ to ensure that we have all the required uniform for ‘the big return’.
On that note, I’d better go and sort the laundry which has been left waiting as I’ve spent most of the day busy jumping back and forth between the kids helping them with their homeschooling.
Whilst I’ll rather miss having the kids here at home, I wont lie – I am rather looking forward to a little time to myself as I’ve not had anything of the sort for quite some time now. I worry that it’ll feel rather lonely at first, but then I guess it’ll be good to get back to a schedule and to relearn normality.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I really didn’t think, last March, that we’d be here now. Agree completely – best place to be right now, but I really didn’t expect it x
Me either
I have literally ordered the boys some new school trousers this morning and checked the shoes. They are so excited about going back I think I am going to miss them despite the work and school juggle
I’m sure going to miss mine
