Precisely nine years ago I was given the rather exciting news that I was expecting a little girl. It was Valentines Day 2013 and both my husband and I were in shock at the prospect of having ‘one of each’. Our then three-year-old wasn’t quite as elated nor excited as we were – he was too busy getting to grips with the idea that what he’d first expecting to be a little brother was in fact a little sister…
Thankfully J soon warmed to the idea of having a little sister and fast forward nine years, they are now the most incredible, intelligent, loving children I could have ever wished for.
Though most associate Valentines Day with the idea of romance, and spending time with their partners, I, on the other hand, celebrate valentines a day early as my husband and I got together on the 13th of February thus we swap cards and gifts then, it’s our very own Valentines Day! As for the official Valentines Day – I will forever look to my little lady as ‘my little valentine’ as she was the biggest surprise that Cupid has ever delivered.
Happy Valentines Day!
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Oh this is just lovely! I remember so clearly having the scans with both of ours although we didn’t find out the gender. Such magic moments x
Yeh it was 🙂
How lovely that you have your own traditions. We don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day at all in our house!
Ahhhh Happy Valentines Day. My eldest was after a sister and he was less than impressed at the thought of a brother!!
