Though it’s been brass monkeys outside this week, it didn’t stop the kids jumping into their swimming costumes and hopping into our recent addition, the hot tub.
What I had imagined being a relaxing soak under the stars became a swirling, whirling, chaotic splash about in the disco-light flashing hot tub accompanied by two overexcited, giggly children… so much for kicking back and taking five!
Splash and Smile
Happy Days
The weather is now much milder and sadly as a result of the temperature increase, it’s now rather wet and windy which doesn’t make for happy hot tubbing. Thankfully Paul is planning to build a pergola for extra privacy, to keep the rain and wind off the hot tub, and to separate our beloved basset from the bubbles so here’s hoping that the weather won’t be an issue for too long.
Though I’d have quite liked to have enjoyed a little peace and quiet under the stars, it was so lovely to see the kids smiling, giggling, and having such fun. It’s been a really tough year for us all and so it’s a joy to see the kids grinning like Cheshire cats, even if it does disturb my ‘five minutes of peace’.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Aww so jel of your hot tub – that looks like so much fun! Hopefully the weather will be a bit milder now so you’ll be able to enjoy it more 🙂 #livingarrows
We’ve been in it tonight as there was no wind or rain and it was LOVELY
What a great investment! I can imagine it being used loads over the summer! x
I’m hoping it will be – we’ve already been in it quite a few times this week!
Oh I so want one of these….. but so far the husband hasn’t agreed. It looks like they are really enjoying it. Hope you had a lovely half term.
My husband didn’t agree but he now loves it
They both look like they are loving the hot tub – what a great thing to have at home!
I’ve been debating getting a hot tub since the first lockdown but haven’t bit the bullet yet, I might hire one first and see how we get on with it.
