With less than a week to go until half term the kids are more than ready for a holiday. It doesn’t feel like all that long ago since we were off for Christmas, yet the kids and I are both in much-need of a well-earned rest. We haven’t a huge amount planned for the half term, I’ve a few appointments written in the diary but other than that, I’m trying to keep our schedule fairly clear.
Our Little Lego Lover
Having watched the Lego Movie 2 over the weekend, J is now set upon adding to his ever-growing Lego collection with yet more plastic-fantastic sets. It’s thanks to that movie that I am now known as ‘Mum-a-geddon’, the tidy-freak who is obsessed with keeping all bricks and Lego related bits organised to a hideously, high level.
At least Lego seems to keep our little man occupied on a rainy day, he has such incredible ideas and has built so much stuff over the years. We have cupboards full of completed sets, shelves stacked with bricks organised by colour, shape and type and yet his love for Lego continues, as does his collection which is slowly taking over his room.
Mini Driver
E seems to have overcome her travel sickness a little, she’s managed three consecutive, successful, spew-free trips through to town. With a little luck this will open up opportunities to go further afield throughout the holidays. Here is our beautiful little lady posing for her picture whilst at the wheel, my very own ‘Mini Driver’ all pretty in pink with her very own cat ears, cute is an understatement.
With a little luck the weather may be on our side and we can get ourselves out and about throughout the half term, it’ll be nice not to have to squeeze everything into the space of a weekend.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
