Though I’m aware that my daughter isn’t the daintiest Princess on the planet, I’m still shocked by the sheer difference in sizes when it comes to shopping for her clothes. Whilst she fits 8-9 year clothing in some shops, she then requires 11-12 year clothing in others which makes buying clothes online even more of a challenge as it’s a bit like buying blindly…
Though I’d specifically gone larger when ordering her this beautiful unicorn dress earlier this week (ordering a size 11-12) it’s since arrived and though it looks lovely and feels rather floaty whilst being worn, it’s, unfortunately, six inches too short in length. To avoid disappointment (and the rigmarole of having to return yet another item) I simply told my little lady that it was a top rather than a dress, thus here she is modelling her brand new unicorn top whilst giving me her best unicorn expression.
Is it just me or does anyone else find girls clothing a complete and utter nightmare to size up and buy?
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I hate this! I now only buy things as sets and always size up. I’ll cry when Athena no longer fits in dress/leggings sets that come as a ready done package! x
Well get ready for it ! I have son who won’t fit aged jeans – he’s twelve and he’s in 33 length jeans with a 26 inch waist …
I tend to go by the height whenever I can rather than the age – Toby is 8 but tall so I usually end up buying age 10-11 for him. H & M are good for always having the height as well as age and M&S do too 🙂
Thanks for that- we already use m&s
