Apologies for the late post but unfortunately our household was struck down with a nasty stomach bug earlier this week thus we’ve spent the past however many days hugging the toilet, sweating, shivering, and sleeping off what I do believe was the worst sickness bug that we’ve ever encountered as a family. Whether it was norovirus or rotavirus I’m unsure but nevertheless, it spurred us to bleach clean every inch of the house from top to bottom.
Thankfully Paul and E are now back at work and school but J and I were the last to catch the dreaded bug and are still suffering from stomach pain, nausea, dizziness and fatigue. With a little luck, I’m hoping that J may feel up for school tomorrow morning but we will see how he is throughout the night and make the final decision come the morning.
It hasn’t exactly been the best start to the new year, what with having had an infection throughout Christmas and another last week and now this bug. They do say that things come in threes so we can only hope that our bout of bad luck is now over and that we can start to enjoy our weekends without the disruption of endless illness, quarantine, or general disaster.
As you can imagine we haven’t had the opportunity nor the inclination to take any pictures over the past week or two, thus this weeks picture is titled ‘As good as it gets’ as it was about as good as it got for what was our weekend.
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.
