Looking at all my friends photos online, I feel kind of bad that most of my shots tend to get snapped indoors at present. Don’t get me wrong, my kids and I are outside regularly whilst at play. However, it has been so cold recently that we’ve not been outside for too long before heading back indoors to thaw out. Apologies therefore if my pictures come across as bland and boring.
As part of E’s extra curricular activities, we have spent time playing a few maths games together – one of which she was extremely excited about playing and has requested endless times since. The idea was simply to choose a range of numbers between 1-20 and find the same amount in a range of objects, whether that be toys, counters, figures or sweets in this case.
E spent hours roaming around the house counting out random toys, figures and objects from her room. We then scoured the kitchen cupboards for all kinds of tricks and treats to use as counters for particular numbers. Not only was this activity educational but it created masses of entertainment for our little lady.
Make It Count
Having spent Saturday night with their Nana and Grandad, both J and E returned to us in the mood for dancing as they spent almost an hour singing and dancing along to Alexa. I love watching this crazy pair of kids dancing and prancing around together.
J seems to have all the moves and all the grooves these days. He no longer shies away from the dance floor, our little lad is quite happy standing in the centre of the limelight and I’m so happy to observe his newly found confidence.
The Dancing Duo
As you can see, we may currently spend a large chunk of our time indoors, wrapped up all warm and cosy. However, we are sure to keep the kids on their toes, offering almost endless entertainment and we have great fun as a family whatever the weather.
Thanks for reading and as always I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

It’s just that time of year isn’t it, far too cold to spend too long outside. The kids look like they have had fun non the less x #livingarrows
Thanks Ang – I get paranoid at times
We’re the same at the minute too to be honest! Lots of playmobil and orchard toys games to pass the time away while we wait for warmer days and bigger adventures
Exactly !
We go through phases of being indoors a lot too but as long as they’re happy that’s all that matters x
Love that photo of the 2 of them dancing, that’s one thing we don’t do enough of in our house! x #LivingArrows
Awww thanks x
My boys love to dance too – although it’s more just running around with music on at the moment! We’ve not been going out much at the moment either – I hoping for some better weather soon! #LivingArrows
