I don’t know if it’s just me but heck, this lockdown seems so much harder than the last! Don’t get me wrong, I’m far happier staying safe at home and keeping the kids busy but it’s so dark, dreary, and dismal at this time of year that it makes everything feel so much more of a trudge.
Thankfully the kids have been fabulously flexible and have both been really busy working their little socks off, bless them. We spend morning to late afternoon each weekday occupied with homeschool activities and so often it’s dark by the time we’re done, which frustrates me a little as it leaves little opportunity for time outside. Even if we did have the time for a wander out, it’s so cold, wet, and miserable at this time of year that it’s hardly enticing!
Globe Gazing
Though we’ve had almost every weather going this week with rain, sleet, and even some snow – we were thankfully able to enjoy a short bout of sunshine, during which Paul took the kids and the pooch to the shore for a stroll.
Sunshine Days
Here’s hoping that the weather behaves over the next few weeks as not only would I like for the children to be able to get out without getting soaked, but I’d quite like to enjoy the hot tub which is due to arrive at some point over the next week or two…
Thank you for reading and as always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

Feeling exactly the same here! Lockdown feels way harder this time round and the homeschooling routine is intense – there’s barely any time to get outside! Hope this week goes ok xx #livingarrows
It’s almost Friday … thank god
I’m finding it so much harder too but I’m so proud of the kids – how they just get on with it and adapt x
They are the heroes this time , they truly are
We are finding it harder this time round too. I am sure its because of the shorter days and the weather. Wow a hot tub! That sounds fab.
Dark nights … no Christmas snacks … it’s glum !
It’s definitely harder this time round. We haven’t left the house all week because the weather has been so horrible. I’m crossing my fingers that we at least get some dry days this week!
