I feel as if we’ve been confined to our four-wall fortress for the past week, though given that J isn’t feeling entirely himself at present, there’s very little else that we could do.
I’ve spent the past four days sat with J in his room playing games, reading books, watching movies and keeping him company whilst he convalesces.
Though we usually set time limits for tech, there has been nothing of the sort for our little soldier at present. Digital distractions have made this week so much easier for our little man and at present, I’m willing to go with whatever works!
The Pyjama King
Meanwhile, E has been busy baking, painting, colouring, drawing, crafting with clay, playing with playdough and keeping her Daddy well and truly on his toes.
Whilst J is currently living in endless supplies of pajamas, E, on the other hand, has an entire wardrobe of clothes to choose from, yet has selected the same dress almost daily since Christmas.
Our Perfect Princess Anna
Our little lady adores her sparkly, golden, Princess Anna outfit. God help me when it needs washing as I doubt whether it’ll make it through a machine wash – any advice would be warmly welcomed!
Thanks for reading my first post of the year for the #LivingArrows series, a weekly blog linky which I have participated in for a few years now which is hosted by Donna from What The Redhead Said, celebrating childhood. I look forward to continuing posting and participating in this series throughout 2020!
As always, I look forward to catching up with your #LivingArrows either through your own posts or comments upon this post.

I love the gold dress. We still have made it to see the film.
Awww It’s a good film !
I hope J is on the mend. They’ll be so pleased to get outside when he’s well enough! x
Oh gosh I know
I hope J is feeling better now and they’ve settled in back at school. #LivingArrows
