Welcome to this weeks edition of #LittleLoves, I have had so much on this week in terms of appointments here and there that I have barely had time to stop and to think about what is actually going on around me. The World is changing, not necessarily for the better but it is certainly evolving in ways which is beyond my control. I wish I was a positive person at this point as I am finding things really challenging right now and am unable to dust myself off quite so easily these days.
I am going to use this post to highlight to myself and to you, my readers the positives that have occurred throughout the past seven days. I guess in a way these #LittleLoves posts are a little like therapy, taking a moment to reflect and to look at the good in life.
Read
As you are probably aware from reading my past #LittleLoves posts, I do like flicking through the odd magazine from time to time. I am currently subscribed to the Ideal Home magazine but feel that it is quite pricey for its content. During one of my many appointments this week I found myself sat in a waiting room with a range of house and home magazines which weren’t my usual read.
I selected two magazines: ‘Your Home’ and ‘Style At Home’. I found myself pleasantly surprised by the content and especially by the price of each magazine, they were far less than my current monthly subscription. I have since decided to alter my subscriptions to save a few pennies and to enjoy a more realistic read which contains products far more accessible to my own budget.
Watched
Unless you are hibernating in a cave somewhere remote I am fairly sure you will have heard that Donald Trump is to be the next President of America.
How this has happened I am not entirely sure, I’m pretty convinced that either voting is rigged or someone has been paid an awful lot of money to ensure that this was to be the result. I almost spat my brew out when I heard the result, just what was America thinking!?
Heard
J is in the process of learning Spike Milligans ‘On The Ning Nang Nong’ for a class recital. I have really enjoyed listening to J reading poetry, especially a poem which I love so dearly.
Made
It’s that time of year again, I am currently in the midst of creating calendars which I send as gifts to family. Each calendar features collages and photos of all our families little ones from the past year.
This year I am using a Mac which is proving to be slightly more difficult than previous years, it’s certainly a learning curve!
Wore
The temperature has plummeted this week, we have even seen a few flurries of snow here and there. I pulled out my trusty old bobble hat to keep the noggin warm but have found that my hats, gloves and scarves are fairly worn.
It may well be time to update my woolens collection, whilst dashing through Debenhams in a rush to grab some shopping I spotted this rather cute bobble hat which I love…hint hint Santa!
And Lastly
E has had another growth spurt, her feet have grown by a whole size thus requiring new winter boots amongst a range of other footwear.
I ordered a new pair of winter boots for E from George. The boots arrived early this week and they fit perfectly. They look really warm and cosey, I would love a pair myself to be honest! Even better both E and I adore the design, that makes for two happy ladies.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
LOVE E’s winter boots and also, as an American…what were my fellow Americans thinking? What began as a bad joke became a reality but hey, its proof that if we can conceive and believe something, it can actually happen….at least, we have to look for any positivity surrounding that situation.

I would hate to be there right now. Feel for you x
I LOVE those magazines! They’re so cheap but such a bargain – always great ideas and lovely photos. And yes, that bobble hat is really rather lovely, hope Santa comes through for you 😉
