Welcome to the last #LittleLoves post for 2016. It’s been a fantastic, festive, fun-filled week surrounded by family and friends. There is so much that I could write for this post that it is actually quite hard to narrow it down to my usual headings.
It’s been that busy this week that I have read very little in terms of books. I am still wading my way through Cecelia Ahern’s ‘100 Names’ which I am greatly enjoying.
I have also read quite a few blog posts mostly Christmas orientated from fellow bloggers but other than that I can’t say I have really delved into anything different.
Over Christmas we have watched a load of films most of which I have seen before but were well worth watching again simply as an excuse to sit down and share some time together as a family.
As you may have read in my past posts I am a big lover of the Australian soap opera ‘Home And Away’ so much so that I tend to watch the latest episodes from ‘down under’ online.
Following the end of season finale there has been two Home And Away special episodes released, one of which has already been aired and the other is due to be aired in late January. ‘Revenge’ is the first of the two episodes which I finally managed to track down and watch into the early hours the other night.
I massively enjoyed ‘Revenge’ as it provided a whole hour of action, suspense and best of all, George Mason! Whilst Brax (played by Steve Peacocke) was once my favourite character, he has since left ‘The Bay’ much to my disappointment.
Thankfully along came George Mason (who plays the role of Ash) to save the day by providing some decent eye-candy material to make watching that bit more enjoyable.
My wonderful and rather handsome husband Paul very kindly bought me both of James Arthur’s albums on CD for Christmas.
Jame’s CDs have since migrated to the motor and are being played during my journeys back and forth from work.
As you can imagine with it being Christmas, Paul and I have spent a fair bit of time in the kitchen. We have made mince pies, cakes, cookies, pigs in blankets and a whole host of Christmas related goodies to feed the family.
We have also made a fair amount of progress in terms of decorating. Paul completed painting both J & E’s new rooms both of which are yet to be carpeted. He has also built new shelving for J’s room, emptied and tidied the garage and has generally been a DIY Dude!
I was totally spoilt this Christmas, Paul and the kids gave me some beautiful new boots which fit perfectly, feel great and I completely adore. I have been wearing these mostly with jeans but may team them with some leggings next week.
Paul also gave me three new nail varnishes which have of course been opened and are now being worn on rotation.
I was also given a beautiful brown, leather handbag which has all the pockets and more than I require. I am a bit of a bag bint in that I go through bags like socks. This one however seems good quality and should last. I love how the bag looks and feels, it will certainly be well used and will hopefully stand the test of time.
I have also been wearing my new perfume, another gift from my wonderful fella. I first wore Lacoste’s ‘A Touch Of Pink’ almost ten years ago when we got married, it’s one of my favourite perfumes as the smell takes me right back to our big day.
We have had the perfect Christmas, despite E suffering with chickenpox beforehand things seemed to fall into place and everything went really smoothly considering. The kids loved opening their parcels and seemed pleased with everything that they were given, there were no issues with anything being the wrong size or any duplicates of any other parcels. Everything just seemed to work out perfectly!
The children have spent most days since playing really nicely together, behaving fairly well and generally life feels pretty good right now.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. I hope that you have had a fantastic Christmas and that have a wonderful New Year.
