Welcome to another week of #LittleLoves. It’s been a busy week as we are on the count down to half term and suddenly it seems like there are a hundred and one jobs which all need to be done before the weekend. It’s been hectic and my heads not really in the game as such thanks to having a crappy chest infection but I’ll give it my best shot, so here goes.
Read
I purchased a years ‘Ideal Home’ magazine subscription last February and whilst I am fairly sure that I should no longer be receiving a copy of this mag each month, I don’t mind if I do! It’s particularly handy for perusing decor ideas for our future extension and many other ongoing projects. Whilst I am fairly arty and like to do my own things in terms of decor, I also like to know whats out there and have kept hold of each and every issue in order to build ‘an ideas stockpile’. I love flicking through magazines exploring colour schemes, furnishings and random accessories which may be simple but can often become a statement piece.
Watched
Paul and I have been watching the Desperate Housewives box set for almost twelve months now. That is how little time we have to actually sit down and soak up screen time together. Most people tend to devour a box set within a few weeks but no, for us it has taken an age! We finally completed watching the box set together last night and now that it’s all over, I am really going to miss the girls. I am of course referring to Brie, Susan, Lynette and Gabrielle. Sure, there are other characters that bob in and out throughout each season but for me there are only four that really count. It’s not just the end of the episodes but it’s the end of an era.
Desperate Housewives has been the most gripping, hilarious and heart-warming box set that I have ever had the pleasure of watching . It is my firm favourite and I only hope that I can find something as entertaining and enjoyable to view next. Any suggestions on which box set I should try next? Leave a comment below and let me know…
Heard
I haven’t really listened to a great deal this week if I am honest. The one thing that seems to be on repeat in my life is the ‘Now That’s What I Call Disney CD‘ which we purchased last year and have since made several copies of for each car and most rooms around the house. I am not suggesting that you buy this set of CD’s, unless of course you fancy sending yourself slowly batshizz crazy as you desperately try not to sing along with Balloo and his buddies, but I will tell you that this compilation seemed to be a game changer for car journeys with our daughter. She would no longer sit in the back looking white, clammy and often being travel sick. Instead she was too busy clapping and singing along to random tracks from the classic Disney films. Both of our kids love this CD set and for that reason I cannot help but to have a little love for it too…
Made
Other than whipping up a quick batch of my famous ‘Lemon Cheese Cake’ I haven’t done a huge deal of baking. I have however made Minecraft themed Thank You letters, which J is soon to write to thank all his family and friends for all of the amazing birthday gifts that he received.
It is the first time that I have created a publication without the use of Publisher, I didn’t realise it wasn’t really a Mac thing. Luckily I managed fine with Word but it was yet another ‘Mac Mystery Moment’ solved and once again, another thing to add to my ‘Mac Learning Curve’.
Wore
I actually spent a short amount of time pampering myself this week, by which I mean slapping a face-mask on whilst in the tub. It was really nice to sit back and have my face smothered in avocado or whatever other random fruits and fragrances it may have contained, it was so lovely in fact that I somehow ended up ordering a truck load of Lush products to keep myself stocked up on random bath time brilliance.
And Lastly
I am pleased to announce that my single-seater chair to match my sofa from Harvey’s finally arrived this week, almost six months after we originally ordered the set. I am still hoping that Harvey’s will honour their offer of a further discount for the time that they had both our cash and our covey furniture set.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

I loved Desperate housewives too. I keep expecting to need Disney CDs for the car too but my three year old is fine for short journeys and falls asleep on longer ones still. How rubbish it took 6 months to get your chair.
Harveys were shocking and we would never use them again.
My mums partner subscribes to Ideal Home, so I get them when he is finished! I love flicking through them. Gives me loads of inspiration! Desperate Housewives was such a great series! Have a wonderful weekend.. Popping over from #littleloves
Thanks my love it’s been fab so far
I used to love Desperate Housewives. I found it on my catch up tv the other day actually and am going to start watching it while I work when the kids are at school. Don’t think I watched the last few seasons, so some of it at least will be new to me. 6 months is so long to be waiting for your furniture! Hope you get the money side of it sorted soon.
Have a great week!
I treated myself to a few bath time goodies from Lush this week, seeing as I won’t be getting out too much in the next few weeks I may as well pamper myself at home. The Disney CD made me laugh, I have somehow managed to keep kiddie music out of my car. My car, my music, one of the few rules I keep to! Especially when my 4 year old has control of the TV for the vast majority of the day! xx
I love a bit of Lush- enjoy!!
I was willing to do anything to stop travel sickness ….
