The summer holidays have finally arrived, the kids can finally kick back, relax and who am I kidding?! They are both full of beans and raring to go, it’s now down to us parents to provide constant entertainment for the next six weeks or so, wish us luck!
So whilst parents UK wide will no doubt find the next six weeks or so frazzling to say the least, I hope you do manage to fit in some ‘#LittleLoves’ as I find there is a lot to love about the summer, especially as we get the chance to finally spend time together as family.

Our holiday is now within sniffing distance and I have spent quite a bit of time this week reading up on the ‘Best of Benidorm’ in terms of attractions and parks to take the kids to. Here are my current top three choices for days out in Benidorm, one or two of which we will hopefully fit in during our stay
Watched
Whilst channel surfing the other night Paul and I came across the recently launched ‘Eden‘ series on Channel 4. We weren’t planning on watching the series but after only a few minutes viewing we found that we were both hooked.
Eden is a Channel 4 Reality-TV series following the lives of a group of individuals who have gathered together to face life without the mod cons, basically detoxing from the modern World. The adverts originally suggested that Eden would be about ‘starting over’ but it was fairly apparent when watching that nobody was starting over as they are all wore highly expensive outdoors clothing, all of the basics were provided to them and a couple of the cast even smoke cigars to wind down, this suggests to me that they were far from lacking in terms of life luxuries! However, the concept of working together to overcome challenges and to aid survival seemed to keep the program interesting, I for one being a ‘people watcher’ enjoyed viewing how the group interacted as they faced specific challenges.
Heard
Work isn’t always wonderful but this week it was fairly good going as we had our annual Cider & Perry weekend. Themed weekends are always busy especially when we offer live Music, Saturday was absolutely packed in the pub as we were joined by Reverend Rob an American blues, jazz and folk singer. He was fab, he literally rocked the house and certainly made my shift a whole lot more enjoyable, I particularly enjoyed his rendition of ‘Minnie The Moocher’ which has since being stuck in my head on repeat for the past week!
Made
It’ll be our little ladies third birthday in late August and so I am starting to put together a few plans for her much desired ‘Frozen Party’. I have finally finished making the invites this afternoon and hope to get them sent out shortly.
Wore
The weather was so hot on Tuesday I finally succumbed and fished the sun hat from out of the wardrobe. I may look completely ridiculous but my head is just fine thanks…
And Lastly
There has been so many things which could fit into this category throughout the past week that I am finding it hard to pin point anything specific. I’m going to jot down a quick list of all those moments which have made this week extra special.
- Attending the Tots Group end of year party with a very grown up looking E.
- Watching J being awarded with his certificate at the end of year presentations assembly.
- Watching J carry out his Yellow Belt karate assessment and pass with flying colours (well just yellow but you know what I mean).
- Seeing J finish his final day at school as ‘an infant’ wearing not only with a huge smile on his face but the Lighthouse award sticker proudly displayed on his tee shirt.
- Knowing that I now have six weeks to spend time with my amazing duo.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. A little heads up, I will be taking a break from my blog (and #LittleLoves) for the next week or so whilst I spend some much-needed time with my family away from the keyboard, it may well be comparable to the likes of Eden!
If you fancy sharing your#LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your#LittleLoves might be.

I dug my hat out too this week! It was a god send in this heat! Your days out on your holiday look like they are going to be fun! Looks amazing and that water slide, looks like it could be so much fun!!
Thanks Anna hoping so
You have to do Mundama, I can still remember taking my two when they were little, they loved it.
Thanks
I bet you cannot wait for your holiday to come around. Mine and my husbands very first holiday was to Benidorm, except I don’t remember much of it thanks to the all inclusive hotel bar lol. I really fancy watching the Eden programme #LittleLoves
We went to Alicante last September for a week and went to the local Aqua Park in Benidorm. It was really good – although I couldn’t really use anything as I was newly pregnant. O had such a great time though. It sounds like you’ve had a really busy week! Hope you have a chilled one x
Thanks Steph we will have a look
Oh wow, it looks like you’ll all be having loads of fun on you holiday. I know that my kids would love all those attractions – I would too! xx
