Please excuse my lack of posts throughout the week, the weathers been tropical and as a result I’ve spent the majority of my week soaking up the rays with the kids out and about having fun. The rain made a come back this afternoon which in all honesty was a relief as my sun burn was beginning to get sun burn!
Without further do I’ll do my best to rake together a few #LittleLoves from the past seven days or so.
Read
I promised myself that I would hit the books and get back to the my ‘book worm’ tendencies but other than the odd magazine, online articles and the odd email I can’t say I’ve read much of anything. I did however come across an absoloutly hilarious Facebook post regarding ‘Original Source Mint Tea Tree’ shower gel that had me in stitches, you know those things that you find yourself quietly chuckling at hours later? It was one of those…
Watched
Our household is Mickey mad and as a result we have a cupboard stacked high with Disney DVDs, one or two of which we tend to watch whilst giving the kids a bit of down time each week. E has gone through the Frozen fad and the Moana madness both of which I can fully appreciate given that the featured characters demonstrate some serious ‘tude’.
My little lady sure seems to have a thing for ‘Princesses with power’ as she selected ‘Tangled‘, yet another film with a fiery female cast as the leading role. Here’s hoping that given our daughters film preferences that she may follow suit becoming fearless, firm and fiery just like her Mum.
Heard
With the recent bout of sunshine I’ve found myself reaching for more upbeat summery tracks. There’s nothing quite like cranking up the tunes whilst driving with the windows down, shades on and your hair blowing in the wind.
Whilst this track may be a few years old now it certainly stands the test of time. Robin Thicke’s ‘Blurred Lines’ is the ultimate summer soundtrack, the catchy bass line along with the cheeky lyrics is enough to raise a smile whether your behind the wheel or stood by the sink washing pots.
Made
I’ve continued to make pretty good progress with my weight loss, I finally plucked up the courage and purchased myself a set of scales which have thankfully proved that cutting breakfast, skipping snacks, reducing portion sizes and being mindful of what I put into my mouth seems to be working for me.
Wore
Having ordered a workout DVD I felt it only fair that I ordered some work out gear to smear in my own sweat.
Along with the workout gear I also ordered some new swimwear all of which has now arrived and is ready to rock as I double the diet by getting physical to beat the bulge before summer.
And Lastly
With E starting School in September she will shortly be attending a few ‘taster sessions’ to build familiarity and confidence within the classroom. I wasn’t really expecting these sessions to be so soon but give it a week or two and E will indeed be heading off to school for an afternoon to find out what it’s all about.
I’m not sure whether to send her in nursery uniform which is similar to the current school uniform or whether to dress her in casual clothing. I will be honest and admit that whilst I may have an almost-eight-year-old already attending said School I feel completely clueless regarding the ‘starting school shizz’. How is it that as a second-time parent I have completely forgotten things from the first time around? God help me come September I’m not sure how I’ll cope!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

We are big fans of Tangled too. My girls love a good, strong female led movie 😉
Ha, I remember being just a clueless when my youngest was about to start school. You’d think that having done it before we have it all down?!
Have a great week x
Exactly but apparently not
Aww Tangled, it’s one of our faves. We are always singing along to ‘I see the light’ and my personal fave ‘Mother knows best’ ! Don’t worry about forgetting about school I can’t remember what my kids were doing yesterday lol x
The Original Source post had me laughing too! Glad you’ve been making the most of the weather, I keep getting distracted by chores and when I finally do have down time, obviously it’s weeing down.
Well done on the mindfulness- I think my portion sizes need to be kerbed. Good to know it’s working for you. #LittleLoves
Thanks Debbie xxx
