I feel as if I’m forever typing “I intended to write this sooner only…” and here I am yet again saying exactly that and for good reason as I’ve literally this moment, arrived back from hospital with my daughter. It’s been a lonnnnnng evening but we’ve finally got a diagnosis and it seems my darling daughter will be spending yet more time off school this week as she recovers from what is apparently ‘impetigo’.
How on earth she has caught such a thing I have no idea, I guess it’s just one of those things that spread rapidly and with being at school this week she’s most likely to have picked it up there. I’m now to hot wash and dettol anything and everything in the house that E may have had contact with, which considering that I already suffer with OCD and have a stupidly strict cleaning rescheme, this may just cause me to tip over the edge!
Despite no longer working behind the bar, I’m yet to enjoy a Saturday night slumped on the sofa at home. We somehow seem to end up running around like idiots most weekends, whether its making trips to A&E for random scissor injuries or making appointments with out of hours Doctors such as this evening, nothing ever seems to go plan!
Anyhow, I will do my best to back to the point of this post which was to list my #LittleLoves from the week gone by. That should lighten my mood and get me back into the swing of Saturday!
I’ve spent the majority of this week reading through the wonders of tax forms, passport application forms and all kinds of incredibly interesting crap which would send an insomniac to sleep with ease. Although this was marvellously mundane it felt pretty good to get things done, dusted and ticked off what felt like a never-ending ‘to do list’.
Paul and I have continued to work our way through ‘Orange Is The New Black’ and we are now watching Season Three. Alongside my regular soaps and shows I have also spent time with the kids re-watching Toy Story 3, a firm family favourite.
After a rather taxing day, I decided to throw caution to the wind earlier this week by cracking open a bottle or two which resulted in me dancing or should I say jumping around to ‘House Of Pain‘. It’s been forever and day since I’ve heard this tune yet it doesn’t seem to have aged one bit!
With the recent temperature rise, I have switched from jeans to shorts and from long-sleeved tops to vests and t-shirts. It’s hardly an amazing transformation but it sure as hell feels great to get my legs out a little.
Other than the odd bout of cooking I haven’t really made much this week. Paul on the other hand has made a brand new gate for the back yard which has transformed the dogs area as they now have far more space.
Having promised myself that I’d book a beach ride, I did precisely that and today, I went along to the stables where I hopped back into the saddle and headed out for a blast down the beach on Basil. I had a fantastic ride; I enjoyed it that much that I have already booked another!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
