Welcome to my #LittleLoves post for this week. I cannot believe that we are at Friday already, time zips by like the blink of an eye and I sometimes find myself wondering has it really been a week?! Did I miss a few days? Has a fast forward button been invented and I wasn’t told or am I just getting old and maybe losing a few hours or days for that matter? It is worrying though as I feel like I am not achieving enough in seven days, how the hell can I get anything done when I so much as cough and a week flies by?
Anyhow getting back on track, I am struggling to actually think of things to put under each header for this weeks #LittleLoves because I swear that somebody is tinkering with time and leaving me with very little of it! Anyhow here goes, I’ll do my best Gov!
Read
I have been intending to read a physical book for weeks now but I simply haven’t had the time, that and my Kindle has been waiting so long for some attention that it now needs charging. Poor thing, it must somehow know that I fancy changing it for a younger, brighter model and has given up all hope.
What have I read? Well other than blog subscription posts and random pages that I’ve stumbled upon not a great deal really. One of the blog posts which seemed to make an impression upon me was Natasha Bailie’s ‘Is Vlogging Actually Flogging?’Â post on her blog ‘The Milk Stand’. I found myself nodding along to Natasha as I also find myself doing to most of her videos which I watch religiously, not that I’m a stalker or anything but if I did happen live in Brighton (which I don’t) I would have ask her out for coffee and cake with the kids, as I’m over six hours up north it’s very unlikely to ever happen and in all honesty, I’m not sure she’d even accept my offer in the first place.
Anyhooo yeh Tash (do you think she would mind me shortening her name?)Â seemed to press some buttons in my brain somehow, her blog post reminded me just why I vlogged in the first place and sadly why I stopped. I then remembered how much I had always yearned for a Mac when vlogging and now that I actually have one, well why the hell aren’t I putting it to good use by sticking two fingers up to normality , saying ‘sod it’ to the small-minded society in which I live and just doing what makes me happy? Â Heck I even have a selfie stick and tripod at the ready, it’s time they were dusted off and put to good use, now just the little matter of sitting down and learning how to use IMovie…
Watched
Steven Peacocke made his final appearance as Brax this week on Home & Away, oh unless you are in the UK that is (sorry for the spoiler folks).
Brax rocked up following Nate and Ricky’s split (after only a few weeks of being married as you do) and the classic duo ‘Bricky’ jumped into a car along with their little boy Casey and left Summer Bay all smiles. It was a happy ending I guess but seriously lacking in detail and I for one was left disappointed.
Heard
One song which seems to have stuck in my mind this week is the late David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’.
Cheers Dave, Hope alls well up there mate xxx
Made
I have been meaning to get my sewing machine out for a couple of weeks now but as you’ve already read, time keeps running away from me.
My cousin and his wife recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the World and to celebrate her birth I decided to make some personalised bunting. Somehow though I seemed to get sidetracked and it remained on my ‘to do’ list for a couple of weeks. I blame the good weather and the time twiddlers (they must exist surely?).
On Monday night I decided enough was enough, I simply cannot cope with having things hanging over me, I therefore sat down and got on with project Matilda…
A few hours later I had made not only Matilda’s personalised baby pink bunting but two other strings of bunting to decorate E’s playhouse with. Three sets of bunting and one Bacardi and coke later I went to bed feeling accomplished.
I hadn’t made bunting for a while and I actually enjoyed sitting down and getting close and personal with my Brother… How wrong does that sound?! LOL I am obviously referring to my sewing machine of course. It spurred me into redesigning the logo for my little Facebook sewing venture and so here it is (along with the link) if you fancy taking a peek at my past projects.
Wore
I love an Ebay bargain and am not ashamed to say that I get a lot of my clothes, shoes and accessories on there. The products that I purchase aren’t always second-hand as many people assume when hearing the name ‘Ebay‘, there are a lot of shops which sell through the online auction site to save on their overheads and to offer their customers competitive prices. This week I managed to bag a few bargains and as a result now have a nice collection of summer tops most of which are from Next and have been ideal in the scorching heat.
Here is one of the tops which I now class as a firm favourite for my summer wardrobe.
And Lastly
The one thing that I have really enjoyed this week has been the weather. By god what a difference the sunshine makes to a day with a toddler. To be able to get outside, to enjoy the garden, to get some fresh air and of course be awarded with the obligatory sunburn strap marks (because being a ginger sucks at times) is so refreshing. Winter seemed to go on forever this year and I for one am loving the sunshine, even though it may not love me!
Here’s my Little Miss Sunshine in the sunshine , is it just me or standing up there on her playhouse balcony in a bathing suit does she somehow look like she is in a kids version of Baywatch ?
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Your daughter’s play house is beautiful and that bunting sets it off so well. I love bunting to add a little decoration and sparkle.
Thanks x
Wow. I’m amazed at what you did with the playhouse! Well done! It looks fabulous!
It’s about 50% done lol
That playhouse is beautiful! Love the colours.
You can’t beat bunting can you? Such a perfect gift. I just wish I was as adept at sewing as you, I’m a bit of a clutz when it comes to sewing machines and crafting in general! xx
I only started sewing a year or so ago
