Welcome to another week of #LittleLoves. It’s been a fairly busy week in terms of slacking off, in other words, I have spent most of my time outside in the garden soaking up the sunshine with the kids. Well why not? Summer only comes for a short amount of time in sunny England, we have to make the best of it before the sun naffs off back to the Bahamas.
So without further ado, here are my #LittleLoves for the past week.
READ
This week I haven’t done a great amount of reading, other than blogs that is. One particular blog which seems to have stood out for me this week is Laura’s Lifestyle & Parenting Blog ‘Dear Bear And Beany’
I particularly love the design and layout of this blog, it was thanks to this blog that I decided to take the plunge and to buy a new theme for my own blog. Like Laura, I also decided to go with a PipDig theme which I am very happy with. PipDig themes suit Wordpress bloggers down to the ground and more than ‘do the job’ in my opinion.
Anyhow, Laura recently wrote a post about her first time abroad with her daughter, it was following reading this that I thought back to J’s first holiday and have since spent hours looking longingly at holiday deals. J’s passport has now been sent off for renewal and who knows, I may get lucky!
WATCHED
I will openly admit that I’m a bit of a Soap-Saddo, especially when it comes to ‘Home & Away‘. My husband thinks I watch it for all the buff blokes but I disagree, well kind of… The storylines seem to keep me hooked and without sounding stupid, I quite like how easy the stories are to follow, the less brain power required the better for me when it comes to relaxing in front of the box.
I may take my love for this soap one step too far because I watch it in realtime. By that, I mean that I cannot wait however many weeks it is between episodes in Australia and the UK and so watch it online to stay up to date with the latest from Oz. This week in the bay there has been a huge explosion (spoiler alert for any Home & Away fans that may be reading) and there have been two lives lost, one arm amputated and one lady left unable to carry children. It’s all bit dramatic but it keeps me on my toes and tickles my pickle in terms of Television.
HEARD
Since getting my new DAB radio for Christmas from my wonderful husband, I have found a new love for listening to the Radio. There are so many more channels available to listen to in comparison to an old-school radio. I have developed a particular fondness for ‘Magic FM‘. Whilst there may still be adverts every now and then, there are far fewer than my local radio station and the Music is right up my street.
MADE
This week I have made an effort to become more included within the Blogging community by launching the new ‘TopTipTuesday’ linkup party and ‘FessUpFriday‘ blog series, both of which are right here on the blog. I have taken part in a few linkups but have never run my own until now. Whilst only a few linked up initially, I am hoping that given time my linkup may become more popular and hopefully enable myself and other bloggers to explore a wide range of posts each week.
WORE
This week has been the first time in 2016 that I have worn sun tan lotion! Factor 50 of course as I am a redhead and so tend not to tan, instead I turn a brilliant shade of red and look more ‘burnt’ than ‘bronzed’.
AND LASTLY…
I really enjoyed spending time with my family this week whilst we tried our hardest to pull off a successful photo shoot with four children in tow. It was not dissimilar to herding sheep but we managed somehow or other. I am fairly certain that the end result will be fantastic photos, as always when Jenna is behind the lens. I was so very impressed with the wonderfully talented Jenna Carpenter for her endless patience and understanding, I am sure that she will have got some super shots as she always manages to capture timeless photos which are forever treasured no matter how hard it may be to do so!
Update- Jenna has sent the photos to me and they are A-MAZ-ING! Here is just one example of this wonderful woman’s work.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your#LittleLoves might be.

Best of luck with your new linkies, and I am sure they will grow as the weeks go on. I agree that it has been so nice to see the sunshine this week and get out in the garden. Have a great week x
Thanks apparently the weather is going to nosedive but we will make the best of it while we can.
The weather has been lovely hasn’t it! I have cracked open the suncream too, it’s definitely important, I actually never bothered before but since being diagnosed with skin cancer I make it a daily routine and now set my alarm every two hours for top ups! That photo is gorgoue! Definitely one to hang on the wall! Have a wonderful weekend #littlelove
Hehe thanks I too have to be carefully following having a scare when I was only 16… Had a huge mole removed which had been affected by the sun… I was lucky as it was dealt with quickly. For me it’s long sleeved tshirts in the pool when abroad etc x
Oh wow, I love that shot from the photo shoot! I really need to book one for our little family. The only professional family photo we have is of the mister and I with N when she was 2 years old – oops!
Good luck with your linkies! xx
thanks I love it too, must order the cd shortly.
