I would have written this post earlier today but after stupidly attempting to open a bottle using a pair of kitchen scissors, I’ve spent the majority of my evening sat in A&E having my thumb cleaned, stuck back together and dressed.
I wouldn’t mind but we’d literally just walked back into house following the fifty minute drive back from town, then moments later had to head straight back towards Barrow, leaving the kids with their Grandparents which wasn’t exactly the Saturday night that I had planned.
I was hoping to carry on as usual but following stern advice to keep the wound clean, dry and sterile I’ve opted to play it safe and to stay at home tomorrow rather than pulling pints as was scheduled.…
I mentioned a few weeks back that I may start writing my #LittleLoves posts on a Saturday due to time restraints on a Friday, with that in mind and the fact that I no longer spend my Saturday evening’s busy working behind the bar, I may make this schedule alteration for my weekly #LittleLoves instalment a permanent fixture.
So without boring you any further regarding my scheduling plans, I will get onto the task in hand and list a few of my #LittleLoves from the week gone by.
Although I’ve spent a fair amount of time reading books with the children I haven’t really had much time to read for my personal pleasure, hopefully that will change over time.…
Friday is finally here which is a relief considering that I’m now juggling two jobs, two children and a million other things all of which seem to have swamped my tiny little mind. Earlier this evening I finally finished my bar shift and headed home where I then collapsed upon the couch in much-need of some time out.
It’s been a long time since I’ve been dressed and ready for bed before nine o’clock but by seven-thirty this evening I was clean, bathed and wrapped up warm in my pyjamas. Having bathed the kids, read them stories and tucked them into their beds for the night I too have retired to my resting place with my Macbook in hand to jot down a couple of blog posts before hitting the hay.…
As always I was intending to write more throughout the week but with it being half term I’ve done very little other than run around after the kids, keep the house in one piece, work and somehow manage to maintain my sanity.
I would love to say that I have that Friday feeling but as I’ve already explained in past posts, I tend to work throughout the weekend and therefore I have very few feelings other than exhaustion! I will therefore muster the very last ounce of energy that I have left within to write this here post listing my #LittleLoves from the week gone by.…
Whilst I usually write my weekly #LittleLoves post on a Friday evening I decided to give it a miss yesterday as both Paul and I were rather busy bees with work followed by an evening out with friends.
With it being the weekend you’d most likely expect that I’d have the time to sit and write blog posts but in actual fact my weekends seem to be a lot busier than the weekdays at present. Due to this I may well begin writing my #LittleLoves posts on a Saturday from time to time simply to make my life a little easier in the long run.…
