To say that October is a lengthy month in terms of days, it’s sure flown by! Here are a few my #LittleLoves from the month that’s felt more like a week…
Read
I’ve been meaning to pick up a physical book and to have a read for quite some time now and having watched Russel Howard’s latest interview with Lucy Beaumont (Jon Richardson’s lovely wife) I felt inclined to give her latest release ‘Drinking Custard‘ a read.
Watched
Alongside our weekly episodes of Gogglebox and The Great British Bake Off, Paul and I have enjoyed watching a few movies with the kids including two of the Percy Jackson films and Disney’s latest release – Free Guy and what an amazing watch it was!
Heard
Having purchased Ed Sheeran tickets earlier this month, I’ve found myself listening to all his latest tracks with gusto and I couldn’t help but notice the likeness between the Among Us theme tune and Ed Sheeran’s Shivers, not that it matters so much as I love the song and have been listening to it none stop since it was released.
Made
Other than cooking fortnightly roast beef dinners, and baking regular rounds of Flap Jack to keep my son satisfied, I’ve not made a huge amount this month. Due to the recent wet weather, the kids and I have however kept ourselves entertained with baking gingerbread and such-like.
Wore
Whilst the kids were excited to wear their halloween outfits this month, I on the other hand was elated to get my glad rags on for our first night ‘out out’ since November 2019.
Earlier this month Paul and I travelled up to Carlisle to watch Gary Meikle live at the Old Fire Station and what a night it was! Gary was on top form (as always) and after two hours splitting our sides laughing we got to meet with Gary and to enjoy a few drinks before heading home.
And Lastly
With it being Halloween come Sunday we’ve decorated in advance, and why not? It’s the half term holidays and having the decor up a little early means that we’ve got all week to get in the mood and to enjoy the occasion. Who says Halloween is just for one day?!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
