I cannot fathom that October is almost over already – where has the time gone?! We may well be slowly losing our sanity whilst locked inside but those clocks keep on ticking… Here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the past month.
Read
Back in 2006 I read Cecelia Ahern’s ‘PS I Love You’ and shortly after I’d finished reading Cecelia’s award-winning book, the film was then released. It’s been fourteen years since I first read Cecelias work and though I’ve read many of her books since PS I Love You, I have always fancied reading a sequel to what was one of the biggest tear-jerkers I have ever come across, and this month I downloaded just that – Postscript. Whilst I’m yet to finish reading this, what I have read so far has been enjoyable.
Watched
Given that we are more or less housebound, we’ve utilised each and every single one of the streaming services and as a result, we’ve watched Disney’s Onward (this was probably a bad move given my current family situation), BBC’s ‘Love Life’, Channel Four’s latest series of ‘Task Master‘ and recently we enjoyed watching Olaf’s latest short adventure ‘Once Upon A Snowman‘ on Disney Plus.
Heard
With Halloween fast approaching, we’ve done our best to keep the kids seasonally upbeat by playing various Halloween theme songs and soundtracks from the likes of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Thriller, Beetlejuice, and so on and so forth. Where would we be without Alexa?!
Made
We’ve had quite the crafty month as Paul very kindly completed upcycling a dressing table I recently purchased to replace our rather shabby-scratched-Argos hunk of junk. I’ve made bunting for my classroom, the kids have made various Halloween crafts, and come this weekend we will be carving pumpkins.
Wore
With winter on the way I’ve been wrapping up in numerous layers including my brand new cardigan, and my rather swish baby-pink coat which is quite slimming despite my Mother first suggesting that it may give me the look of Miss Piggy…
And Lastly
Though we’ve done next to nothing over the past seven days, it was most certainly a well-warranted half-term holiday. I couldn’t care less whether everyone else is out and about risking it for a biscuit visiting various tourist traps, I’d much rather stay safe inside and that’s precisely what we’ve done.
I say we’ve done nothing but that’s not entirely true- I’ve been quite the busy bee and have broken the back of my Christmas shopping, I’ve also put together and published a few reviews and videos, I’ve printed various leaflets and business cards for a good friend, I’ve switched our household energy tariffs and overall I feel quite accomplished!
This weekend we’re planning on celebrating Halloween with a few games, movies, and treats before school starts and we head towards the Christmas countdown. It’s been lovely simply spending time together without the rigmarole of the regular routine.
I hope that you and your loved ones are all happy, healthy, and are staying safe. Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

It sounds like it’s been a good month, though I’m sorry to hear that there are tricky things going on behind the scenes with your family. Sending love. We haven’t watched the new Olaf short yet (though I’m desperate to – we’re saving it for Christmas!. Hope you all stay well.
