#LittleLoves – November 2023

Welcome to this month’s #LittleLoves post, which is part of a series that you are very welcome to join.

I was contemplating as to whether to bother even writing this post this month as quite honestly, I’m finding it really difficult to see the positive in anything at present. It’s been an incredibly tough month and  I don’t wish to elaborate any further on the details but, I’m struggling.

Despite my struggles, I thought it worthwhile trying to find and document the ‘glimmers’ rather than ditching my monthly linky entirely, so here goes…

Read

I haven’t really read all that much this month, though I’d love to jump into the world of fiction and escape from reality, I haven’t had the concentration nor the energy. I read a few chapters of my latest Alexandra Potters book earlier this month but haven’t had the inclination to continue of late.

Watched

Television seems to be my ‘go-to’ at present, it’s strange how a flickering screen can offer some form of comfort. I can certainly see why people refer to them as ‘goggleboxes’…

Paul and I completed watching each and every episode of Stacy Solomon’s ‘Sort Your Life Out‘ and then we started watching a really interesting series called ‘Upload’ on Prime based on the idea of life after death using technology.  I’ve also been engrossed in watching Netflix’s ‘Maid‘, a gritty series that I’d thoroughly recommend.

Heard

I’m well aware that Christmas is just around the corner, it’s hardly avoidable when each and every radio station seems to be blasting festive songs every five minutes. I usually love Christmas but I’m not feeling it this year which is heart-wrenching. I usually love listening to the radio whilst pottering around the kitchen but at present, I’m choosing to stay in silence just to avoid the festive frivolities.

Made

Though I usually spend time baking, making, and crafting most months, this month has quite literally been about ‘making it through the day’ and actually that’s quite an achievement

Wore

Having lost almost 1.5 stone in less than a few weeks, I’ve had to switch my wardrobe around somewhat. Though I’d usually favour comfy jeggings and jeans, I’m finding that my waistline is drastically shrinking and so I’ve been switching to tights and dungaree dresses just to keep me covered and comfortable.

And Lastly

November began with a bang, quite literally, as we took the kids to see two local fireworks displays, one of which lasted over thirty minutes and was utterly spectacular.

I hope at least thinking about what you could celebrate made you feel a little better. I’m sorry your going through a rough patch. Life is very complicated at times. Hang in there. (In photos it looks like you had a fab month!)
