And just like that, it’s the final Friday of November 2022. I can barely believe that it’ll be December come this time next week – I’m really not ready for Christmas this year nor in the mood, I guess I’d best get my glad rags together and plaster a smile on my face for the kids’ sake at least. So without further ado, here are some of my #LittleLoves from the past month.
Read
Having ordered a couple of copies of Jeremy Clarksons ‘Till The Cows Come Home for family, I noticed Kaleb Cooper, Jezza’s sidekick, has also released a book. I threw a couple of copies of Kaleb’s latest release into my virtual basket and whilst I’d intended on saving them until Christmas, I couldn’t help but have a nosy which resulted in me reading the entire book cover to cover within a day.
Though it’s aimed more towards teenagers, I quite enjoyed reading through Kaleb’s stories, anecdotes, and ideas – it was a bit of light relief from reality.
Heard
Much to our amusement, our daughter E has spent the past few weeks insisting that Alexa plays Sam Smiths’ Unholy’ on repeat. Whilst it’s a really good tune, it’s also massively inappropriate for her age, thank god for radio editing and the fact that she’s far too innocent to understand why ‘Daddy’s getting hot at the body shop’…
I swear, Christmas arrives earlier and earlier each year, it seems to on the radio at least as it’s barely even the end of November and Heart has already started playing their festive songs every hour of the day. I would usually sing along at the top of my lungs but I’m just feeling it this year.
Watched
We’ve enjoyed attending and watching a number of fireworks displays this month, we’ve also snuggled on the sofa to watch our annual delight – the final episode of The Great British Bake Off. With the cold weather setting in, we’ve also spent time cuddling on the couch as a family whilst watching a number of movies and shows including Netflix’s latest release, ‘Slumberland‘. Talk about an incredible movie, this has to be one of the best that we’ve watched in quite some time!
Made
E has spent the past month putting together a portfolio of work for her school project on Vikings, this included designing and making her very own Viking jewellery, and we even spent time weaving, baking, and stargazing to boost her work.
Wore
Like many people, I spent most of November wearing my Poppy along with numerous layers of clothing to keep warm and dry during what feels like one of the wettest, coldest, most miserable months of the year.
And Lastly
For many reasons, November has never been one of my most favoured months, though thankfully it’s passed by fairly quickly as we’ve been so incredibly busy of late. Though it’s not my preferred time of year, we have however celebrated a rather special event as the kids’ Nana Margy (their Great Grandmother) turned the grand age of one hundred and four years old! She’s such an incredible lady and has seen so much in her life, it was great to visit and spend some time getting pictures with the kids and sharing her special day.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
