It feels so very wrong writing a positive post at present, though I know that life must go on and that I must look to those moments, times, and things that bring joy and light to my life. Though he’s no longer here, I know deep down that my Dad would want me to be happy, he’d want me to make the best of and to enjoy my life and so I will write this post for him.
Read
Though it covered a rather sore subject, I finally completed reading Cecelia Ahern’s ‘Postscript’ this month. It was an emotional but enjoyable read which I would much recommend should you have already read PS I Love You.
Earlier this month I downloaded Suzy Quinn’s latest release – ‘The Bad Mother’s Wedding’. I’ve read each and every book within Suzy’s ‘Bad Mother’ series and let me tell you, they are such a laugh – it’s certainly something to lighten my spirits at present.
Watched
I do love Netflix and some nibbles, especially when there’s a good series to be watched such as ‘The Queens Gambit’ which Paul and I spent just over a week watching earlier this month. Covering a plethora of issues, habits, and addictions, ‘The Queens Gambit‘ was a gripping watch from start to finish.
Heard
Each morning my son and I listen to Heart Radio whilst out on travels. Bless him, J has been desperate for the Christmas songs to be played on-air, and earlier this week his wish was granted. Though I’m not so sure as to whether I’m entirely ready nor in the right frame of mind to be listening to Christmas songs, it’s really nice to see the kids with smiles on their faces as they get into the festive spirit.
Made
We’ve baked all sorts of stuff this month, J has been busy baking lemon drizzle cakes, gingerbread, and fairy cakes whilst E and I have made gingerbread men, sticky toffee pudding, mince pies, and jam tarts – the kids love spending time baking and cooking in the kitchen, though it’s not all that good for my waistline.
Wore
The weather’s really cold now that we are in November, so I’ve been sticking to wearing jeans, jumpers, and fluffy slippers to keep warm and cosey. I think this week may see the scarves and gloves coming into action also…
And Lastly
This has been one of the hardest months of my life so far and so it’s really difficult to try and pick out the positives. However, it was rather nice to see the kids swirling their sparklers and watching the fireworks on bonfire night despite the local lockdown, I only wish that we could have taken them to a big display like ‘normal’ but nothing is normal right now and so we continue to try and cope with the compromises.
I hope that you and your loved ones are all happy, healthy, and are staying safe. Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad, Rachel. I know that nothing anyone can say will make it any easier right now – sending lots of love and strength to you and your family. It’s good that you are able to find the little positives in a difficult month, just make sure you’re letting yourself feel all the other things too. I hope that December brings lots of little things for you to love.
Thanks
