Slap my hand for I am a bad Mother blogger, I realise that I have barely blogged this week but in all honesty I’ve had far too much to do and very little to say. Life has been hectic much like my head which seems to be swimming with information most of which isn’t of interest nor worth writing about.
I may have been running around like a headless chicken for the past week or so but I’ve certainly enjoyed doing so. Given that Friday has once again landed upon us I am now sat at my Mac with a Martini in my mits ready to share my #LittleLoves from the past seven days.
Read
I’ve spent most of the week with my nose buried deep within Education based documents, I’m desperately trying to work my way back into the classroom by hook or by crook.
The kids however have been busy reading each night, J is currently working his way through ‘The Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ which both he and I are thoroughly enjoying. E on the other hand has made vast improvements in her reading and as a result has now moved up to reading ‘red level’ books which include a wide range of phonic blends which seem to be suitably challenging our little lady.
Watching the kids as they progress in their ability and enjoyment of reading is such a thrill, they are doing so well and I couldn’t be a prouder parent.
Heard
As I mentioned last week Paul and I now have an ‘Amazon Echo Dot’ which means Music is far easier to access and to listen to. I’ve spent the past week asking Alexa to play all kinds of Music meanwhile the children have stuck to requesting Disney tracks on volume ten which given that our Echo Dot is wired up to some seriously beefy speakers can become rather tiresome.
I have however discovered ‘Amazon Music Unlimited’s playlists’ including the ‘Friday Night Bangers’ playlist which features a range of upbeat, classic dance and trance tracks which I too have chosen to play at ‘volume ten’ for the majority of the week.
Watched
Having watched ‘Happy Valley’ series one and two I was sure to set Sarah Lancashire’s latest TV Drama ‘Kiri’ to record on series link. Paul and I watched a couple of episodes now and whilst it may not be as gripping as Happy Valley was it’s certainly a gritty storyline which keeps viewers on the edge of their seats.
Made
As I mentioned in my previous post I have recently made a return to Vlogging on YouTube and as a result have spent the past fortnight creating a range of videos from the past twelve months in order to update my YouTube channel. This week I finally got back on track and finished editing and uploading the final few videos including footage from Christmas Day.
Wore
With the weather being fa-fa-freezing I’ve chosen to sod fashion and instead have opted to wear multiple layers of clothing none of which have matched nor have I cared to accessorise with anything other than further layers or winter warmers such as scarves, hats and gloves.
I have however began to make a start upon planning for my spring wardrobe as I recently ordered two denim mini skirts including a rather funky Missguided denim belted buckle skirt. Whilst they have both arrived, fit and seem to look alright it simply isn’t warm enough to wear either of them as of yet.
And Lastly
I’m not sure whether I’ve mentioned this on my blog as of yet but on Monday I was interviewed by an agency for Supply Teaching. I have since received confirmation that my details have been processed and once my DBS is updated I will hopefully be making a return to teaching through supply work. I’m hoping that with time, experience and a little luck I may find a permanent role within a Primary setting.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

That skirt is amazing!
Such exciting news about the potential of getting back into a teaching role. It sounds like a great step for you.
Thanks for the reminder about Kiri, I need to get it on catch up.
Hope you’re having a good week so far x
