My my how the weeks fly by towards the end of the summer term, what with the endless trips, events and random parties my children are constantly attending I swear they have a better social life than I have ever had! Here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the past seven days or so…
Read
I’ve been intending to get myself buried deep into a book for some time now but with the endless running to and fro to collect one or the other child I haven’t had time to read anything other than the usual emails, social media posts and of course the news which is fairly depressing by any measure.
Bring back the book-worm from the good old days, I really need to lose myself in some serious fiction as reality is far too messed up for my liking.
Heard
Whilst sat listening to Tori Amos live cover tracks, wine in one hand vape in the other you know how it is after a busy day. I came across a triple blended track covering a particular song I realised I hadn’t heard in a long time and very quickly found myself hitting ITunes for some Lana Del Ray.
‘Blue Jeans’ is one of my all time favourite tracks which has found itself blaring from my stereo almost every time I’m out on the road or sat in my living room for that matter.
Watched
It was J’s Sports Day on Thursday, E and I put together a picnic and traipsed down to the Cricket Club where we jeered J along the track whilst necking sandwiches and soaking up the sunshine.
E herself ran her very first race along with the other preschoolers, it was certainly a proud Mummy moment!
Made
J and I got our ‘bake on’ today not just to fill the biscuit tin with melting moments but also for homework purposes.
I found myself recording his culinary talents which I have then spent this evening putting together and editing (hence why this post is significantly late in being published).
Wore
Over twelve months ago I somehow managed to smash my beautiful ‘fifties bug-eye style shades’ which I have continued to wear despite the cracks in the lenses.
It was only this week that I finally clicked ‘the buy button’ and splurged spending the whole of £4.99 on a new pair.
And Lastly
Since closing my #TuesdayTreasures weekly linky I have felt at a bit of a loss. Having asked a few other bloggers what they might suggest I do I have finally got my act together and come up with an all new, all dancing, all singing linky. ‘Wonders of the Weekend’ will launch next Friday at 5pm should you fancy joining in!
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Best of luck with your new linky Rachel. I know exactly what you mean about the time flying by this half term. My diary is crazily busy for the next few weeks with all the kids things. Roll on summer holidays x
I know just what you mean about not finding the time to read, I’m just the same. I want to get back into the habit of going to bed a little earlier with a book.
Have a great week! x
Thanks hun x
