And just like that, here we are at the end of another month and already we are almost halfway through the year – how did that happen?! So without any further waffle or ado, here are a few of my #LittleLoves from what, according to the news, has been the wettest May on record.
Read
Though I fully intend to get back to reading books at some point soon, I’ve spent the past month or two enjoying alternative easy reading, such as the likes of ‘Spirit & Destiny‘ and ‘Take A Break Fate & Fortune’. There’s nothing better than kicking back with a coffee and flicking through a magazine.
Watched
Having blitzed through a variety of boxsets earlier this year, we’ve found ourselves with very little to watch of late and so other than keeping up with my regular soaps such as ‘Eastenders’ and ‘Home & Away‘ I’ve not watched a great deal this month. Our weekly episodes of Gogglebox came to an end last week and there’s only one more episode of Call The Midwife left before that too comes to a close. This week, however, we did watch Friends The Reunion though it wasn’t what I had been expecting nor hoping for.
Heard
Being an ‘Alexa Chick’ I do tend to get through a fair amount of Music, and this month I’ve rather enjoyed bopping along to Aaron Smith’s ‘Dancin’ (The KRONO Remix), it’s an ideal summery yet chilled track to listen to whilst spending time in the hot tub.
Made
With J turning twelve earlier this month, I made not one but two chocolate roulades as apparently, one is never enough! Paul meanwhile has been busy building, painting and decking out our latest addition, a summerhouse and I have to say it’s looking pretty swish!
Wore
It’s not been all that warm this month thus I’ve continued to live in my usual comfort clothes (jeans and a jumper) though I’ve been sure to carry my Dad’s waterproof jacket as I don’t think that we’ve had a day without rain as of yet!
And Lastly
Despite the wet weather, we enjoyed our first trip out in over eighteen months and spent a fabulous two hours bouncing around in the Tree Top Nets to celebrate J’s twelfth birthday. It was great to get out and to enjoy a little time together as a family away without the limitations of a lockdown.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

Oh it looks like you enjoyed May and have been very busy! I love the summer house! Looks amazing! We are debating getting one. Love the colour of yours! The friends reunion was very hyped up for what it was, it’s a shame as I think everyone was expecting it to be so much more! Have a wonderful June! Thanks for linking up!! xx
The colours were my husbands choice x
