Welcome to another week of #LittleLoves, a post in which I share a few of the many things that I have particularly enjoyed or have taken a shine to throughout the past seven days. This week has been pretty hum-drum, we’ve not done anything particularly outstanding yet there has still been plenty to love.
Read
I haven’t done a great deal of reading other than the usual checking of emails. I have however received some rather lovely emails from a number of companies that have all asked me to carry out reviews on particular items on their behalf.
I will be sharing some of these with you in the near future and am very much looking forward to getting back to reviewing random goodies throughout 2017.
Watched
Paul and I finally found some time to sit down and enjoy a movie together, it’s been flipping hectic with all the decorating, carpeting, furniture shifting and such like so it was really nice to finally sit down and to spend time together.
We watched Disney’s ‘Maleficent‘, a dark, non-animated, twist upon the all-time classic ‘Sleeping Beauty’. I am a massive fan of Disney and love all of their films including this one. It had a certain gothic, arty charm which seemed to appeal to me. I have no idea why I haven’t watched it until now but I will be sure to give some of the other Disney adaptations a go, next on my list will be Cinderella.
Heard
We are definitely back into a routine, Magic FM has once again been blasting from my DAB Radio providing me with endless cheesy tracks to sing along to whilst washing the pots.
I have also added Magic as a favourite on the TuneIn App on my daughters IPOD so we have some background Music whilst playing in her room.
Made
Since E moved into her new bedroom she has spent hours upon hours sat playing happily with what she likes to refer to as ‘Peppa Pig Land’ AKA the mounds of plastic Peppa Pig toys that E has acquired over the years arranged into a make-shift village.
My good friend Denise very kindly gave us a whole load more Peppa Pig toys to add to E’s extensive collection which are now stored in a large, wooden toy box which is opened and emptied each and every day without fail.
I have spent quite a few hours this week making random Peppa Pig villages, parks, camping sites, airports, shopping centres and god knows what other setups upon E’s request. I cannot complain, my three-year old daughter will spend almost all afternoon playing imaginatively, fully entertained and I get five minutes peace to take a breather.
Wore
Whilst I was massively spoilt at Christmas, I was the only one in our household not to receive any new slippers. Queue ‘Awwww’ from the audience…
I decided to order myself a new pair ready for the new year, it’s winter after all and if you haven’t noticed its blinking baltic out there! I had a particular pair that I fancied and it just so happened that this very pair were in the Amazon Boxing Day sale! Whose to argue with fate?
I snapped these ‘Bedroom Athletics‘ beauties up at a bargain price, not only do they fit perfectly, they are super warm and the colour of the Slippers match our bedroom carpet!
And Lastly
We finally had the kid’s bedrooms carpeted, they are now fully complete and the children adore their new rooms. They have so much storage and extra space for all their belongings. It is so lovely to see them both happy and with equally sized rooms.
I hated the fact that E was in a box room for the first three years of her life, most of her toys had to be stored downstairs in our living room which I didn’t feel was particularly fair on her but then as she spent most of the day downstairs anyhow it didn’t seem to matter back then. Now she is a little older it is nice that EÂ has the space to be able to have all her toys and to play in her own, brand new pink, sparkly room.
In the same respect I am so pleased that J is now able to sit at his new desk on his wheely chair and to use his laptop, to simply draw or to sit and write without having to come downstairs for a tabletop. He now has a pen pot filled with stationary and many desk toys which he has neatly arranged on his ‘big boy desk’.
I am overwhelmed by how much space the extension has resulted in each one of having, it has made such a massive difference. Paul is now in the process of painting and decorating what will be our new study and then we will have even more space to use and to enjoy as a family.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

The kids bedroom look fab and I bet you are pleased you had the extension. My youngest has the box room, but we have a playroom downstairs which is dominated by her toys (one day that room will be ALL MINE). Cinderella is a great film and I am sure you will love it. Have a great week #littleloves x
I loved that film! Those slippers are so comfy I’ve had a blue pair and a pink pair so warm. I do like what little one has done with her Peppa pig collection very creative 🙂
Thanks Hannah x
they are indeed very comfy
Your extension sounds incredible! It’s so lovely that you all have so much more space. I am a huge fan of slipper boots too 🙂 x
Maleficent is one of my favourite films, the girls and I love watching it together. We really enjoyed Cinderella too.
I bet the kids are so happy with their rooms! My eldest is in a box room, which is just one of the reason we’re looking to move this year.
Hope you’re having a good week x
I was until having my wisdom tooth out yesterday. Watched Cinderella the other night it was fab, want to watch Beauty and the Beast next.
