So it’s the summer holidays and I’ve been loving summer lazing. I’m usually super-organised and on the ball when it comes to blogging. I’m well aware that I’ve been slacking somewhat on my posting schedule especially when it comes to linkies and such like.
I apologise, slap my wrists for I am a bad blogger. I hadn’t even opened my MacBook for three days until this afternoon and you know what? It felt good to do some digital detoxing!
So this week… Well what can I say? The sun was shining, the parasol was out, I topped up my tan and otherwise generally milled about brushing sand from the patio and refilling the kids drinks cups.
There is’nt an awful lot to tell you but as always I’ll give it my best shot at listing this weeks #LittleLoves.
Read
You know when you imagine Motherhood prior to actually having children? Visualisations of a dimly lit bedrooms, soft music playing in the background whilst you read your little treasure stories before bedtime? Well this actually happened for real!
E has been super tired this week after hours of running around outside each day. Unlike the usual scenario where I find myself sat reading to some kind of over stimulated octopus that is more interested in playing than being read to despite it being way past her bedtime.
I actually managed to live that moment, that dream moment of sharing books at bedtime with a cute little princess, all snuggled and sleepy.
E happily sat listening to the tale of Red Riding Hood as I watched her eyes become heavy and she drifted off to sleep. It was such a lovely moment and I hope that we can share more bedtimes like this together.
Watched
Having watched the adverts and purchased a plush animal for each of the children whilst abroad despite not having seen the film, I was pleased to finally watch ‘The Secret Life Of Pets‘.
It wasn’t the best kids film that I’ve wasted two hours of my life upon but it certainly wasn’t the worst.
Heard
The sound of children giggling followed by screaming seems to have been the soundtrack for this week. As much as the kids love each other they don’t half bicker these days but that’s siblings right?
Made
I managed to make a different meal for my children every day this week. That may not sound difficult to you but let me tell you otherwise!
Only when you are faced with the summer holidays and two children with extremely limited dietary palettes will you ever understand how flipping impressive a differing meal seven days on the trot may be.
Wore
As I’ve already mentioned the sun was shining up until today that is and therefore the legs were out! I may not be a size ten or twelve for that matter but it was hellishly hot and so my milky tree trunks were treated to some air time.
In order for this to take place I located some floaty tops and comfy cropped pants. I would love to wear shorts but wouldn’t wish to put anyone through having to see that!
Floaty tops, cropped pants and sandals are my new favourite fad and guess what? It’s blumming raining now, typical!
And Lastly
It won’t be long before work on our extension begins. I’m so bleeping excited because it means I can delve into decor and make lots of lovely lists!
I have found myself spending stupid amounts of time this week perusing Pinterest, making lists of furniture and features for each room.
I love having something to plan for, to dream about and to look forward to.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your#LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your#LittleLoves might be.

Yay for extenstion plans! Good luck with managing the dust – that’s the only thing I really hated when getting ours done. I still find bits of it now 6 months later! x
I totally know where you are coming from with the different meals every night that’s impressive my two are a nightmare when it comes to meals, I really like the format of this linky so will try and join in soon 🙂
Awesome look forward to seeing it Angela x
I’ve had a few weeks of barely opening my laptop and loved spending the time with my girls.. now I’m just trying not to get stressed over the work that’s piled up! Oops!
Urgh, I feel you with the whole fussy children thing. My two have suddenly decided they like the opposite food to each other and not the food that their dad and I like. My patience is definitely wearing thin! xx
So glad it isn’t just me
I have been a bad blogger too! It’s just been mad having everyone at home and the weather has been so nice!

I’ll get back into it come September and routine returning
