Welcome to another week of #LittleLoves, I have once again had a busy week (when don’t Mums have busy weeks?) as it is half term. I love it when my children are both off together and we can spend time together as a family, since Paul has increased his hours at work though it is hard knowing just how to keep both of the kids amused until their Daddy arrives home to complete our team. It has actually been surprisingly easy this week thanks to the wonderful weather that we seem to be having, Summer is certainly here and its blumming glorious! Anyhow, getting back on track, here are my #LittleLoves for this week.
Read
I realise I really need to start picking up a book rather than spending my time surfing the tinterweb. However, this week I have been on a mission to book a summer holiday, I have therefore spent 99% of my time scanningrandom travel companies websites for the latest summer holiday deals followed by reading up on various hotels on Trip Advisor. I love and loath the honesty of the reviews featured on Trip Advisor, whilst there are always some honest, positive reviews out there, there are also a heap of reviews which are totally off-putting and to me seem like someone who just wants to whinge. Is it just me?
Heard
WatchedÂ
We took the kids to watch Mr Maker Live at the local theatre on Tuesday. It may not have been quite as ‘arty’ as I’d first expected but it was a fairly good show all in all. Both J and E quite happily bounced around to ‘Party Rockers’ with Mr Maker and the Shapes, their hands full of over priced merchandise, smiles plastered on their faces.
Made
My son seems to have developed a taste for Nutty Flip AKA Flap Jack. I decided to whip a batch up for him yet somehow managed to consume the majority of it myself… God knows how I am ever going to lose weight if I keep dipping my fingers into the treat tin! I have to say this is one of my favourite treats, it’s far better than any cake I know of, thankfully I am not alone in my love for this tasty treat and so I have a good excuse to bake a box as and when.
Wore
This week I have actually started to wear shorts, I may have legs like tree trunks but it’s been hellishly hot and needs must. Don’t worry, I have stuck to wearing the longer, more crop-cut jeans rather than full on shorts, I am not going to rock the boat neither am I going to share any pictures of my milk bottle pale, marshmallow-man like legs, I will save us both the embarrassment.
And LastlyÂ
I never ever thought I’d buy into the whole selfie stick thing, personally I always saw them to be a gadget fit for Room 101. However, after seeing one in action whilst on the bus on the way to the Races I realised just how useful they can be for capturing the moment. I ordered one online and can officially say that I am now ‘selfie stick savvy’.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this weeks #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing your #LittleLoves then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.

I’d love to see Simply Red live! Mick Hucknall has such an amazing voice, although you’re right he does kind of look like Phil Mitchell in a wig, not that he was ever much of a looker to begin with! Sounds like you’ve had an amazing week, what with seeing Mister Maker too. Have a great weekend!
Wow I wish we lived where you do, we only got sun at the weekend and it’s been miserable ever since! My toddler would love Mister Maker, I would assume it was full of crafting too xx
It was more full of dancing…
Sounds as if you have had a busy week. I think I could spend every day looking for holidays, and I totally agree about some of the comments on Trip Advisor. You just read them and think really !!! The comment about Mick Hucknall made me lol. Have a great week x
