Welcome to this month’s #LittleLoves post, which is part of a series that you are more than welcome to join and take part in. June seemed to fly by in the blink of an eye and so to celebrate the past thirty days here are a few of my #LittleLoves for this month.
Read
Whilst I’d love to have the time to sit down and soak up a fiction book, I just haven’t found the time nor the inclination to do so of late. Instead, I’ve busied myself with reading various educational resources to prepare for next year alongside the odd online article here and there.
Watched
Though we’ve yet to attend the festival in person, each year my husband and I look forward to watching various parts of the Glastonbury Festival on BBC iPlayer. We spent almost an entire weekend flicking between stages, acts, and performers and decided that we must get ourselves to Worthy Farm to soak up the atmosphere for real sometime in the future.
Heard
Being a bit of a Tik Tok scroller I have found many videos that seem to be using the same backing track of late and as a result it’s now seeped into my brain. Jain’s ‘Makeba’ is a rather catchy little number that has now scored itself a place on my Amazon playlist.
Made
Though I haven’t spent much time crafting or baking this month, I have made a few purchases this month that will make a huge difference down the line. Firstly, I managed to book and sort each of the days that we are planning to spend in Disney and Universal using their online planners and applications. I then ordered, paid for, and was approved for the electronic travel certifications required for entering the USA. We took the dog to the vet for her kennel cough vaccinations ready for her little stay at the kennels AKA doggy daycare and we’ve applied for and received our first credit cards (for insurance purposes) so we are just about ready to rock and roll in terms of travel this summer.
With the summer holidays fast approaching my daughter made her decision regarding her presents for her upcoming birthday. She wants a new bike (both for her birthday and her upcoming cycling proficiency) thus we took her to Halfords to be measured and sized up for a bike and have since purchased the bike that she picked out and it is now hiding under blankets out of her sight ready for the big day.
Wore
Having spent the past two months wondering when summer might arrive, June was a hot one with temperatures of over thirty degrees Celsius thus we’ve spent the past month donning dresses, shorts, and flip-flops in order to keep our cool.
E and I took a trip out shopping to get ourselves a few new T-shirts and tops for the hotter weather which we’ve worn ever since as it’s remained fairly warm for the entirety of the month.
And Lastly
Though June wasn’t entirely action-packed we’ve busied ourselves with various activities including a trip to the local gala, a weekend art workshop, and an outing to the cinema where we watched the latest installment of the Spiderman series. It’s only a few weeks now until the summer holidays arrive and though we’ve got a J’s Duke of Edinburgh expedition and a bunch of other school stuff to get through before then, I’ll be honest and admit that we are all now counting down and winding down ready for our six weeks of freedom.
Thanks for reading my #LittleLoves post, I look forward to catching up and reading through your #LittleLoves posts

We watched almost all of Glastonbury too. It was a great weekend even though we just stayed home and watched it on the TV.
Ahh! I have heard that Jain song on TikTok but I didn’t know it was a full song.
How exciting to be preparing for your trip to Disney and that new bike looks fab! x
