And so here we are at the end of June already – how did that happen? Somehow weeks are melting into months and time seems to be slipping by like sand through a sieve. Without further ado, here are a few of my #LittleLoves from the past month.
Read
I won’t lie, other than flicking through my monthly magazine subscriptions, I haven’t done a great deal of reading this month. I really ought to get back into my books but I simply haven’t had the time nor the energy to be bothered of late.
Watched
It’s been a great month for television as some of my favourite series such as Motherland, Breeders, and Workin Moms returned to our screens for another season, all of which I have since binge-watched on our new television from the comfort of my pit.
Alongside the above and our regular soaps, we’ve also enjoyed watching ‘The First Team‘, Clarkson’s Farm and we finally managed to sit down as a family and to watch Disney’s latest release – Raya and the Last Dragon.
Heard
I’ve been a fan of James Arthur ever since I first heard his X Factor rendition of I’m Sexy and I know it. I love his style, his voice, and his swagger thus have all of his albums and a copy of his latest single ‘September‘ which was released earlier this month. Alongside Mr Arthur, I’ve also been listening to London Grammar’s latest album and a range of remixes from their work.
Made
This month saw us make a start upon our DIY endeavours as we had our windows replaced and our boiler shifted from the kitchen into the garage in preparation for the kitchen chaos which should hopefully commence come July. Paul’s been busy fitting outdoor lighting to the driveway and summerhouse, all of which look super swish. Things are finally beginning to come together for us, though we’ve got a long way to go and a lot of work to do yet.
Wore
Whilst I’d love to tell you that I’ve been spent the past few weeks wearing flip flops, skirts, and summer wear, the weather has had more highs and lows than the latest attraction at Alton Towers, not that we’ll be going there anytime soon thanks to the pandemic, thus I’ve spent the past month flitting between jeans paired with either a cardigan or a coat dependent upon the cloud cover. I have however bought some brand new sandals ready for when summer fancies staying.
And Lastly
Though it feels like a lifetime ago, we were blessed with seven days of sunshine for the half-term holidays. The kids enjoyed time with both their family and friends as our in-laws came up to visit, E went to a small party, J scooted with his pals, and Paul and I made headway on the housework in preparation for our upcoming projects.
Thanks again for reading my blog and I hope that you enjoyed this month’s #LittleLoves. If you fancy sharing some of your own #LittleLoves, then why not join in either through your own blog post or by leaving a comment below, I would love to hear what your #LittleLoves might be.
